We are a little self sufficient farm, right at the base of the gorgeous Glasshouse Mountains. We offer a farm experience only 45 minutes from Brisbane and 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast. Wendara Farm has horses (horse riding available for additional cost), dairy cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and every farm animal imaginable.

The accommodation is a cabin with queen size bed and two singles (bunks). The shower/toilet is a few metres in the main house and the cabin doesn't have television so it is quiet and relaxing. There is a large television for use in the conservatory for you to use if you wish. The house is a barn style with a huge outdoor conservatory area and swimming pool. You can swim and kayak in our spring fed dam as well as catch fish down there!

You must like pets when you visit as we have many well behaved animals (not in your accommodation of course!). We have bicycles you can borrow, feel free to join us when we feed the animals and browse through our large vegetable gardens. We love to Scuba Dive (husband is a scuba diving instructor and you can give it a try when you are here!) and wife is a horse riding instructor. Children are all keen scuba divers and horse riders as well. We love having visitors to our home and are well used to hosting people as we have been doing it for many years.

About the Area

Our property is located 5 minutes from Caboolture and is surrounded by strawberry and pineapple farms, right at the base of the Glasshouse Mountains.

Caboolture has a large shopping complex and every shop you will need. 15 minutes away is the town of Woodford which has amazing antique shops and little boutique cafes as well as the well known Woodford Folk Festival every summer. Both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast are a 45 minute drive away as is the gorgeous Bribie Island.

The local train station is Caboolture and there is no public transport to our house but we are happy to arrange pick up if required.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
