Our family lives in a 5 bed house in Paro Bhutan in the village of Shaba.
The house is set in the middle of a fruit garden. We have a large kitchen and dining area and a big living room that opens into a lovely conservatory. We have a large garden and grow our own vegetables. We have a cow and 20 hens that provide us with fresh milk and fresh eggs.
We have no children living with us they are away from home.
Bhutan is a safe place and our home even more safer.
I love cooking and gardening and we assure you of plenty of warm hospitality.

Excellent time spent. Ms Thinley is an incredible host who made us feel at home from the time we reached till we left. Would surely love to go back once again.

The house is wonderful, with a beautiful garden around and spectacular view to the surrounding mountains, valleys and the river. The food was spectacular – nothing I tried in restaurants either in Thimphu or in Paro could be compared with the meals I had here. But what truly distinguish this place is a genuine feel-at-home atmosphere, which enables you to feel connected to the environment, to become aware of the rhythm of everyday life. In a very short time I felt to be entirely accepted, not as a tourist, but as a family member. With a little help of my hosts, I had an opportunity to see some exclusive events as a Buddhist temple inaugural ceremony and a baby blessing ritual, to hang out with wonderful local people, to visit the famous "Tiger's Nest" accompanied by the best local guide… This place has crawled into my heart, I just hope that I’ll be lucky enough to come again.

We were mighty excited about the Paro leg of our journey and were hoping for a quiet, warm and comfortable place to stay at for those two days. Thinley's homestay was all that and MUCH more! Thinley welcomed us like one would an old friend. She's got to be one of the coolest people we've ever met. We chatted over a generous spread of breakfast each morning (she's an exceptional cook, by the way), and she and her husband went out of their way to guide us around town and even drove us to the market once. The house itself is a tiny little paradise and if Bhutan is your escape from the city, this homestay teleports you to another world. We hated leaving and can't wait to go back. We'd recommend Thinley's place in a heartbeat to everyone who's planning to visit Paro.

Mrs. Thinley Dem epitomizes the hospitality and friendly nature of Bhutanese people. She ensured that I had a comfortable stay at Paro. Although the place of slightly off the main town, the location of the house on a hilltop with a beautiful garden around compensates for that. A perfect place for couples, and group travelers, to spend some peaceful time in nature's lap. Mrs. Dem's benevolence and amicable nature will definitely make your trip memorable.

I visited Bhutan with a few friends and stayed at Thinley's homestay in Paro during the annual spring festival in April.
She and her husband are everything you can expect from a host and more. Before reaching Bhutan, she gave us useful tips (weather, important things to carry, acceptance of currency, etc) that would make our lives as tourists much easier.
Upon reaching their place, we were treated to an elaborate and delicious dinner, which was surprising since technically only breakfast was included. Their house is pretty, spacious, clean and well maintained. It is a short drive from Paro town. During our stay, they helped to streamline our itinerary and gave their expert opinion on places to visit and things to do.
Overall, Thinley's house was a home away from home and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking accommodation in Paro.

It was a great experience to be staying with The inlet at her home. She is very caring and we never felt that we were staying as a guest with her. She made us feel at home and we really enjoyed staying with her. Would love to visit her again when we visit Paro.

The homestay was just superb. Thinley is a grand hostess who believes in the giving more than what the guest expected. The rooms are clean , air heated and homely. Come all and enjoy.

Bhutan saved the best for last for me. I chose to stay in Paro as I didnt find a room in Thimpu but I wish I had a lot more time at their lovely home. Its a heaven tucked away on a mountain top. The elegant Thinley and Pasang are a lovely couple and warm hosts - they take the Bhutanese hospitality to a different level. My stay here was better than any of the hotels put together. Thinley and Pasang maintain a fabulous home with a beautiful garden overlooking the mountain .They both are also great cooks and fed me some real Bhutanese treats. Definitely recommend this experience to everyone who comes to Bhutan.
