Hello!
We are an experienced homestay family who have been actively hosting students for over 5years and we are currently accepting bookings for our cozy, quiet & clean basement apartment with separate entrance for a student or young professional.
The basement suite includes a large bedroom (with 1 double bed and 1 single bed), separate closet space, full Kitchen and full bathroom; shared laundry facilities. The apartment comes fully furnished and includes utilities, highspeed wi-fi internet and laundry.
We are located in East York - an excellent, quiet and convenient neighbourhood in central Toronto. Close to all amenities and situated within close proximity to four subway stations: Victoria Park, Warden, Main and Coxwell station. Very close commute to all campuses within the city of Toronto. Both adults in the household are fully vaccinated; we also have three young children - however they are not allowed within your self-contained basement suite.
Our family lives on the main floor of the house and we have a basement suite available for you. It has a bedroom, full kitchen and full washroom. Laundry facilities are shared.
In our home, there is myself, my husband and three children - ages 8months, 4years, 7years. They are well aware of our homestay guests and know to keep the noise levels down to ensure the household is quiet for all members.
We are a very busy and active family in our community. We spend our weekdays with work and school. The children go to art lessons, soccer and dance. We enjoy going around the city to new attractions and shows. We are vegetarian (if you choose, you can also add a meal plan of breakfast & dinner daily)
If you do choose to add a meal plan, we are vegetarian so most of our meals that we serve are vegetarian - if we order out (and we include our homestay guests of course), then you can have a meat option.
Types of meals (examples):
Breakfast - fresh fruit, cereal selection, pastry & baked goods selection, omlettes, french toast, bagels, pancakes, hashbrowns etc.
Dinner - vast array of pastas (spaghetti, fettucine, macaroni & cheese, stuffed spinach and artichoke shells, gnocchi, stuffed ravioli with rose), tacos, chilis, curries, pizza, burgers
We make sure to include snacks in your kitchen area as well so that you are well fed! :) Our menu selections change weekly/seasonally
Smoking is allowed outside of the house on the property but no smoking inside!

No Smoking inside the house - smoking is permitted outside - 420 friendly!
No pets or animals of any kind allowed into the house
Noise to be kept at a minimum past 10pm
No overnight guests unless agreed upon with Homestay Host & Homestay Guest

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
