Mary and Joel welcome you to their home in Havana’s lively Vedado district. Two comfortable rooms awaits you, one with a double bed and the other with two personal beds, refrigerator, AC, safe box, and newly renovated private bathrooms. Our apartment is a fourth-floor walk-up, spacious with a small balcony, two blocks from the bustling Calle 23. Autobuses and collective taxis along this major transit route can take you to fascinating Old Havana in less than 15 minutes. Just ask us how to use the system, and you’ll save a lot of money by not having to take taxis!
Vedado has a long history of being one of the earliest and most attractive districts in the city, with many beautiful old mansions and gracious tree-lined avenues such as the Avenida de los Presidentes, and Paseo. It is also the culture district, with several large and small theatres along Linea, and the grand Teatro Nacional, near to the Plaza de la Revolucion. The historic Necropolis de Colon, with its spectacular main gate and elaborate mausoleums, is also worth a visit.

About the Area
Our apartment is located on a quiet street in the Vedado district. Vedado has a long history of being one of the earliest and most attractive districts in the city, with many beautiful old mansions and gracious tree-lined avenues such as the Avenida de los Presidentes, and Paseo. It is also the culture district, with several large and small theatres along Linea, and the grand Teatro Nacional, near to the Plaza de la Revolucion. The historic Necropolis de Colon, with its spectacular main gate and elaborate mausoleums, is also worth a visit.
There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity: on our street, El Cimmaron offers a charming atmosphere, excellent food and live folkloric Cuban music; while Las Duenas serves up homestyle cooking at very economical prices. Around the corner, Bar Bohemio serves tapas with sophistication; and for more casual dining, Pizzeria Don Pachi is just few blocks away.
Two parks are within easy walking distance: the Parque John Lennon at the intersection of Ave. 17 and Calle 10; and another at Ave. 15 and Calle 16, where wifi connection can be accessed.
Also of interest in the Vedado area: the Fabrica de Arte (at 26 &15); the Cinemateca de Cuba (at 23 & 12); and La Rampa, with its discotheques and jazz bars at the foot of Avenida 23. The Malecon, Havana's famous seawall, is within walking distance.

Guests are expected to be quiet, clean and respectful of our home. Payment is expected at the beginning of your stay. Guests can choose to extend their stay, as long as the room is not already booked out.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
