About the Area

We are in the Vedado district, cultural, political and administrative center of the country. A place that adapts easily to your trip, whatever the reason for your trip. If you want a noisy neighborhood, surrounded by thousands of tourists and the corresponding pitfalls to attract them, this apartment is not for you ...
If you are looking for a local experience and blend into the life of a family neighborhood of Havana, then you are in the right place !!
Some of the best restaurants in the city are nearby. Whether family cooking or a little more refined dishes, you will surely find your happiness. For the most revelers, trendy bars are also in the perimeter. You will also find theaters, cinemas, concert halls, cultural centers, hospitals, the University of Havana, green spaces ...
To move, a few meters from the apartment there is a Taxi stop with vehicles available almost all day. Count around 10CUC to reach the old part of the city (10min by car). Otherwise, and for the more adventurous, the Linea street 200 m from our building, is one of the fixed routes for the taxis, much more economical, and that can lead you to Old Havana for a few cents of CUC.
Before booking, do not hesitate to check our location on the internet. Just type "Hotel Presidente, Havana" in the famous search engine ... We are in the same street of the Hotel, to the left of the screen, in the corner building in the street Calzada. Zoom ... !! We say hello!

House Rules

Cuba is one of the safest countries in America, and Havana, although very active and dynamic, is a city that can be traveled quietly. However, there are some rules you must follow to avoid unpleasant surprises.

-Never change money in the street to passers-by. For this always address to CADECAS (Casas de cambio), the official entity provided for this purpose. Or at the bank. We have several banks around the apartment. You can also change your money in Hotel Presidente, two doors from our building.

-Never buy rum or cigars from street vendors. You will find many outlets in the city where you can buy these products safely.

-Access to the apartment is reserved EXCLUSIVELY to travelers. For your safety, we recommend that you observe this instruction.

-In other register ... Although the water in Cuba is drinkable, generally we do not drink without boiling it before to prevent digestive disorders. The easiest way is to buy bottled water. For this we have several markets nearby.

- WiFi connections are not allowed in private houses in Cuba, but this is not a problem! On the terrace of the Hotel Presidente, you can connect to the wifi. You only have to buy a NAUTA card (about 1.50 CUC) for one hour of connection ... My advice, ask for a mojito in the terrace of the hotel, buy all the cards that you want, not to not have to think about buying every time you want to connect. There are also many other wifi points in the city. One of the largest is the Malecón, a few meters from the house.
