An authentic colonial house is the El Hecticom hostel. Located in the street Frank País, very close to the shopping center El Chiquito. It is also located just 150 m from Carrillo Square, which marks the center of the city and is surrounded by hotels, shopping centers and the telepoint of ETECSA, which is the national telecommunications and wireless Internet access company. The room that is rented by foreign tourists is on the first level of the house. It has a maximum capacity for 3 guests, it is very well heated with Split equipment and table fans. It is also equipped with a minibar stocked with soft drinks, beers and bottled natural water; A TV with national channels allows you to update yourself on the reality of the country and the world.
Esther and her son Hector, the hosts, are prepared people. Esther holds the title of Master of Science in Education; Hector, his son, is a graduate of the National School of Hospitality and Tourism since 1988. They know several languages like English and in particular Italian, since Hector lived and worked for several years in Italy. Among the services included are the garage; breakfasts and dinners for children under 10 years old. Children between 10 and 16 years old only pay half of the price of these gastronomic offers. Inform the family of your arrival time and it will be expected at the point of arrival.
The family lives in the rental house and offers light breakfasts included in the price of the room.

House Rules
Children are allowed, we can arrange a babysitter in case you want or need to leave and leave the children at home.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
