Francisco is a wonderful host who is willing to assist with your needs. He will bend over backwards to accommodate you. His knowledge of English is superb. The room is spacious and clean. However the pillows are not comfortable and many travelers, including those in all inclusive resorts, bring their own pillows from home. The kitchen was sparsely equipped but adequate for preparing breakfasts. With dinners ranging from $3.50 to $8.00 in restaurants, who would want to cook their own dinners? Also a selection of vegetables and meat is not available in Cuba as we know it in Canada. Most stores do not stock fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, bread, or meat. These items are available from street vendors. All in all a very pleasant stay with a wonderful man.

Francisco is a good man. If you need something, he is always ready to help you. His flat is really cool, near the beach and when you comme back from the beach , you can have a shower outside the flat ( you let sand and salt outside ) which is very clean . i recommand this place . Marjan

Francisco was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome in his home right from the start. We also had a lovely fresh breakfast which set us up well for the day. This property is not in the centre of Varadero but it is easy to get to on the local bus (an experience in itself!). The room was clean and comfortable and had a decent air-conditioner (very important in the Cuban heat!). We would definitely recommend staying with Francisco, he certainly made our stay very pleasant indeed.

We arrived on the bus from Havana, wondering if we would be able to find Francisco's casa, when all of a sudden we heard our names being called, and there he was waiting to welcome us at the bus stop! We stayed with Francisco for 8 nights and couldn't have felt more relaxed after our stay. He serves some of the best coffee with huge and delicious breakfasts on his balcony every morning. Not forgetting his great taste in music! The flat was spacious, with a separate kitchen (with fridge) and modern bathroom. After a day at the beach, it was great to come back to the neighbourhood and relax. We found it easy to get to Varadero, either by bus or taxi (we recommend taxi after 5pm as buses finish around this time) but equally enjoyed spending time in the neighbourhood. The area is very non-touristy and friendly, and there is a small beach very close-by, as well as an excellent fish restaurant and very nice ice-cream place. Francisco, thank you for a lovely stay!

Franco is a delightful man. He offers a lovely, modern flatlet that is clean and comfortable. Be aware that this address is outside of Varadero and there is no wifi connection. Also, book your ongoing journey sooner rather than later as it could cost you more money than you'd wish to pay.

Very nice guy- small town just outside of varedero. We had a bit of trouble finding - remember you don't have internet- so click on the map and take a screen shot of it to show the taxi driver will make life easier :)

Francisco was very friendly to us. Unfortunately when he came to pick us up from the bus stop he got in trouble with an official. We hope that Francisco is okay!
