I am the owner of this guest house with my wife and daughter. I have 2 granddaughters, 10 and 6 years old, and I would like to be able to interact with clients and exchange ideas about the knowledge I have on various subjects, since I have 42 years of experience as a Teacher, so I am fluent in Geography, History, Literature, Agronomy and Natural Medicine where I have participated in international events on Permaculture and Agroecology.
This house is simple, it has no luxuries, our luxury is in our good heart. This house is located in a country area just 10 minutes walk from the center where you are in direct contact with nature, it is a special quiet place to vacation and has access to Wi-Fi, as well as an electric generator to supply us in case of electrical failures. In front of the house I have a small garden with some of the short-cycle productions necessary for food.
I have a private farm (Finca la Chiquitica) located just 500 meters from the rental house which provides most of the food products in the home, standing out among them Mango (in different varieties), Orange, Lemons, Tangerines , Pineapple, Bananas (in different varieties), Guavas, Coconuts with delicious water among others, in addition to guaranteeing the Coffee that is consumed at home throughout the year. We can also find on the farm Beans, Cucumber, Chard, Radish, Tomatoes, Avocados and Mustard (depending on the time of year.) There are different varieties of Medicinal Plants with extensive knowledge on the subject. I also have a mini-industry for the conservation of Mango and Guava, which allows all my guests to enjoy natural juices without any chemical product, since everything is agroecological, I have been carrying out Permaculture and Agroecology for many years. On this farm, since I am a teacher, study practices are carried out for children and young people from the community to whom I give classes. Our farm has received delegations from universities in Canada, Norway and Venezuela to do internships there. This is a cozy place where a pleasant and healthy stay is thus guaranteed. We love and protect Nature, being one of the things I could not live without: my Family, my Books, my Students and Permaculture, are the perfect complement to my life.
At home you will feel like family, I am a host who helps guests in organizing their activities and they are treated in an exemplary manner. We help them in the organization of their activities so that the guest can only enjoy their vacation without any stress: we help them organize tours on horseback, by bicycle, by taxi or on foot. Also in organizing taxi to other destinations, we also carry out all breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner services. Finally: this is the place
perfect for your vacation.
"Loving and caring for nature: is loving ourselves."

I had an amazing time staying with Miguel and his family. He is a very wise and joyful man. I'd recommend staying here if you want to get away from technology and connect with nature. It was refreshing seeing people talk to their neighbors. Miguel is the type of person that you can chat with about anything. On the other hand, Yansy, Miguel's daughter, was a comedian in another life. P.S. Ask Miguel to take you to his farm.

We had an excellent time at casa campo el permacultor. The whole family was very welcoming and helpful, and Miguel managed to teach us so much about local plants and agriculture in a short amount of time.

Lovely people, there's privacy and good conversations. They made my life easier by arranging bicycle/taxi/horse! Miguel even picked me up at the busstop when it rained and their daughter prepared me amazing dinner. Thank you familia :)

Miguel and his family are very friendly. They have set up an area opposite the house where they teach children about the plants in the area. Miguel took the time to take me on a hike to a tobacco plantation and explain the different uses of plants that could be found along the way.
Breakfast and lunch were always delicious.
They also gave me ideas on what to do in Viñales.
It were lovely, relaxed days with nice conversations.Host reply

Host reply

Staying with Miguel and his family was an amazing experience. I really can’t emphasize how great it was to meet and spend a few days with this family. For Miguel’s part, he was incredibly generous with his time in sharing all about his farm, his garden laboratory, and all his knowledge about medicinal plants and herbs. For me, who wanted to practice Spanish and meet Cuban people, it was a dream come true!
For Yancey’s part, she took such good care of us, with beautiful meals, double-checking our arrangements in town with other guides, rescheduling things for us, even making us some soup when one of our party caught a cold. Such a nice person.
I can’t wait to visit again!
