A Lovely Family Of 3 Sisters and 2 Brothers, who are like my own family
I will be returning over and over and only stay with the Dejen Family
I travel formost for the traditional foods and drinks of the country
Second, the traditional and popular dances of the country
Third, the beaches and waterfalls of the country
The 3 Sisters prepared Beautiful Traditional Ethiopian Meals everyday at my request. I miss the 3 of them and their cooking already. And dancing.
The 1 Brother took me on a lovely walking tour of the neighborhoods and the Traditional Ethiopian Bread Factory, you see and feel so much more on a walking tour we stopped for Traditional Ethiopian Mango Wine, at Bar/Restaurant better than Mango Wine in Philippines. Philippines is Very Good but Ethiopia's is Very Very Good
It was so good, I bought 2 bottles for our evening dance parties
In the evenings, the 3 Sisters taught me their Traditional and Popular dances
I was in Heaven, I have been studying Cultural Dances and Performing over 25 years. Now I have Ethiopian Dances to add to my Creative Dance Videos.
And I sat and watched their favorite Ethiopian Soap Operas with them, Darn! I'm going to miss the final out comings lolThe Dejen Family home is so beautiful and traditional Ethiopian Style
The Sisters rise early before going to High School, University and Work
Cleaning and Mopping and preparing Traditional Breakfast
Then Cleansing Living Area and your Bedroom with Tradition Ethiopian Incense So refreshing!
It was very nice to just chill at home, sometimes alone, no need to tour everyday, I felt right at home as well as the other guest
One young man from America, it was very nice to touch base with another American, because I am retired in Egypt. We will keep in touch. Also I met a nice young man from Czech Republic, a first! I love meeting and spending time with people from everywhereThe 1 Brother was away on business but he would check in everyday via phone to see how I was enjoying my stay. Also this Brother set up my tour of Entoto and Museum and Open Market in advance and also my personal pick up and drop off to Airport , since I was arriving and leaving at 3AMish, not safe to go with random taxi at that hour
Other Brother was at Airoprt in a timely fashion, I did not have to wait
Other Brother and Driver were already at Airport before my arrivalThe Brother who was away on business has his own Tour Company and so I will return several times until I have seen and felted all of Ethiopia
I want to go South to the WaterFalls, and feel everything between then another time North to the Active Volcano and feel everything betweenThe Journey is the steps getting there not the final destination

Had such a wonderful time with Dejen and his family in their little place in Addis. Dejen and his family are wonderful and honest people. His home really does allow you to experience authentic Ethiopian culture from their perspective. They are family for me now. Dejen, also runs a travel tour company- so had an incredible time going on a journey to the southern part of Ethiopia to experience tribal life culture. Lifetime memories for me for sure. Thank you so much.....
