ALL RATES ARE THE SAME AND INCLUDE 3 AMPLE MEALS PER DAY FOR ALL GUESTS IN YOUR RESERVATION. BOTH PICK UP AND DROP OFF BY A SMALL FIBERGLASS BOAT FROM YOUR FERRY OR SEAPLANE TO THE VILLAGE ARE INCLUDED IN THE RATES (worth up to 240 FJD). Please ignore any warning this website might show you in regard to meals - there are no any additional charges for meals. Tropical breakfast is served outside on a table in shade, overlooking the ocean and neighbouring islands. Lunch and dinner are served every day with a different village family. This is a perfect chance to get to know everybody in this small friendly and always-laughing village. Mingle, interact, learn, relax - all local style. Hint: do not miss our kava sessions in the evening.

My friend and I had a great time staying in Nabukeru village. It was a beautiful spot - very relaxed and laid back! We did some snorkelling in the colourful reefs, hiked a nearby hill at surnrise and visited the Sawa-I-Lau Caves. The Bruce family looked after us well and we enjoyed the meals cooked by different members of the village. Make sure to bring extra strong bug spray - we suffered a lot of mosquito bites :) Thank you to the whole village for having us stay!

I stayed with Navi, Emi and Api for 3nights. What a wonderful and truly authentic experience. I will never forget those times when Navi brought me to the barrier reef and the beauty of Yasawa's underwater world. Emi cooked so well, fresh eggs and veggies grown in their garden, just amazing. We also played rugby with the villagers at sunset... I had a great time here and I can only highly recommend this place. Vinaka Navi, Emi and Api.

Our five night homestay at Navotua village was one of the most magical travel experiences my husband and I have had in years of travelling. The hospitality of Teresa and the community is unrivalled and you’ll learn so much about Fijian village culture all while staying in a pristine tropical paradise.

Amazing food, activities and people, you just have to slow down and go with the flow as village life continues around you. We highly recommend visiting this village, you will be very well taken care of and we couldn’t be happier with how organised and easy the whole experience of booking and arriving at the homestay was.

If you are looking to experience true Fiji, this is the place to go! We stayed in Malakati Village in one of three bures with our 6 year old boy and it was true paradise. The children of the village are miraculous, and their happiness not measurable in words. The bure is simple, there is a shared shower and western toilet and we drank rainwater from a tank, very tasty! The ladies of the village cooked 3 meals per day for us and we ate together with their families Fiji-stlye on the floor. Please note though that there is not much diversity in food, rice & fish are the order of the day, so you might want to stock up on snacks from the mainland. We went diving at nearby Blue Lagoon Resort and snorkeling off the beach. The beach is finest white sand. Everything here is raw and unpolished and this is the way it should be if you are after an authentic experience. We stayed for 5 nights over New Years and celebrating with the village was a treat! Make sure you try and stay over either a Sunday or Tuesday, as this is when the village assembles at church and their singing is magical. The people of the village were very open and super friendly and we really got to spend time with them! Definitely a recommend, for ideally 3-4 days!

A good Fijian experience introduction. We've met some wonderful people and learned a lot from them. Thank you Mela for your wonderful baking and good conversations. Thanks to Taïma for introducing about the village habits and thanks to all the people who cooked and talked to us. Special thanks for the kava socializing with our neighbors and also for the coconuts for the kids from Jo. We cherish the time we spent in Navotua.

The 5 days solo vacation in Navotua village is a wonderful experience, I had lots of fun exploration during my staying here.
I was originally worry if no other tourist joins my booking dates before I arrive, the worry was totally unnecessary. There were 3 wonderful young couples from 3 different countries during my 5 days visiting, I was very lucky that I could join them for all kind of activities, beach walk, hermit crab race, mealtime visit, school visit and snorkeling.
Cave and honeymoon island boat ride was the highlight of day trip. I saw beautiful coral reefs and colorful fishes there.
Our Bures are east facing, we get the window view of beautiful sunrise every morning, ocean wind blows off the heat in daytime and evening, so no mosquito would bother us.
Mela is a wonderful cook, she prepared homemade breakfast for us every morning, we have coconut flavor steam bun, eve (not sure the spelling) cake, dinner rolls, scorn and donuts, they are so delicious. I even get to see how to prepare eve fruit for cooking, how to weave a mat and cook cassava. A village girl showed me where sand crab lives and where eve fruit comes from.
This is a beautiful and relax place for a different journey, not a modern place but shower and toilet are convenient, just show in daylight is better. if you like hiking, outdoor activity, you would love this place.

Thank you Mela, I had a memorable trip in Navotua village.

We stayed at Navotua for five days and it was a wonderful experience. Mela and the whole community were very welcoming, the food plentiful and delicious and the location absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately I was ill because my stomach wasn't used to the food so I do recommend taking medication with you if you might have a sensitive stomach. Also, don't forget the mozzie spray and sunscreen. I took my two eighteen year old children with me and they quickly became part of the young people, singing well into the early hours of the morning! I fully recommend the visit and staying more than just a day or two. We've only been gone a day and miss them already! Moce, sota tale. Xx

We stayed with Mela for a week in July this year. It was an amazing experience. Mela and her family were so welcoming and our kids loved playing with the other village children and going to spend some time in the school. The Bures are in a great position right by the beach and are clean but basic. The beach and lagoon are lovely - easy swimming for the children and great coral if you venture out a bit further. I really enjoyed exploring the reef and saw lots of fish, some reef sharks and a few Rays. Mela arranged for us to visit cave island and honeymoon island - a short boat ride to both. Would recommend both very highly. The caves are pretty impressive and honeymoon island is beautiful with really excellent snorkelling just off the beach.

The villagers were very welcoming and visiting different houses for meals was great. They also showed us around their gardens where they grow most of the food. If you want to escape the resorts and have a true Fijian experience then this is definitely for you. We would recommend staying for at least 4 nights to get a feel for the village and because it does take a while to get there. The food was tasty and filling - we did drink the water but if you are worried check out "water to go" which is a drinking bottle that filters everything including bacteria and viruses. It saves on the dreaded plastic. We loved our time and hope to be back one day. Vinaka!!!
