My little cottage is located 15 minutes drive or 20 mins on the bus away from Savusavu, our bustling, friendly seaside town . I have 2 fully screened outdoor verandahs to enjoy the breeze and ocean views from.
I live here, along with 9 chickens. (No Rooster, haha)
The guest room has a double bed, it is a part of the main house.
There is plenty to do in and around Savusavu, there's diving, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, waterfalls, beach, village and school visits. Nice restaurants, local cafes, yacht club and locals club hostelleries are in town.

About the Area
We are 10KM from Savusavu town in a friendly, quiet area and it is easy to walk or bike around the area. Decent snorkeling can be enjoyed from the beach in front of the house, it requires 15 min of reef walking at low tide to access it, and there are other good locations nearby. Take a bus or taxi to town. Bus - F$1.15 , Taxi - F$ 13. There's a daily farmers market in town, with plenty fresh fruit and veg in season, plus 3 supermarkets and a delicatessen / wine shop. Reasonable range of foods, but don't expect to find your favourite less known branded stuff! There are a handful of good European style eateries, also many locals cafes where you can get a good feed for F$6. There's a couple of "clubs", the yacht club and the Planters where you can enjoy the local atmosphere, food and a drink. It's a one street town, and after a week, you'll feel like a local as everyone will be saying "Bula"!
All main amenities are in town, there only beach and lagoon right by the house.

Elayne was a fantastic host for us on our 4 night adventure to Savusavu. She was so helpful and generous from day dot and we appreciate her kindness and hospitality dearly. Thank you Elayne for a beautiful experience - we thoroughly enjoyed the Lovo feast, an experience we will cherish and Christi will remember her 23rd birthday by. We loved having Blondie the chook come help with our jigsaw puzzle, and your upbeat and easygoing character - Thank you and till the next time. Meg and Christi xoxo

I had the most amazing time with Elayne! She is such a lovely lady and a great host. We shared some delicious healthy food and I got to really appreciate Savusavu as a local can only do. Elayne is so welcoming and I felt at home from the very beginning. Thank you so much for this great time - I hope to come back soon.

Staying with Elayne was so lovely! She is such a kind, uncomplicated and helpful host and always tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. It really felt like home to me. Her house is very cozy and located close to the beach with a beautiful ocean view, making it at a perfect place for watching sunsets, going for a walk at the beach or having fantastic snorkeling trips. Elayne took me to her favorite snorkeling spots right in front of her door and showed me an amazing underwater world with many vibrant corals and fish. She also is a wonderful cook and likes to share her self-grown vegetables and fruits from her beautiful garden. Time with her in her lovely and comfortable house passed far too quickly. Thank you so much for your hospitality and making my stay in Savusavu an unforgettable experience!

Beautify house with porches and tropical breezes from three sides with a view of the sea and beach within a 3 minute walk to a high tide dip; safe swim. Easy connect by bus or cab to town (if that's your thing). Elayne is a very generous hostess who eats healthy and has enough growing in her garden to provide fruit and veggies for herself and an education in tropical agriculture and sampling for her lucky guests. Would recommend without reservations!

Feel right at home at Elayne’s, a gorgeous property with all amenities and a superhost. I went scuba diving and then into town and Elayne put me in touch with the right people. It was hard to leave and I look forward to my return.

Elayne is a dream... PROPER coffee ready and waiting for me arrival. Felt so welcome and comfortable in her BEAUTIFUL home! Perfect place to relax if you’ve been hosteling/backpacking for a while. Elayne’s knowledge of the island is priceless and she helped me with everything. Really can’t recommend enough, really was very sad to leave. xxxx

Homestay with Elayne was amazing. She’s a real gem! The house is fantastic with amazing views. I stayed for a month and I felt so at home by the first night! Elayne also took us on tours - her village and waterfall tour was beautiful, and felt very personal. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a slice of Fiji’s hidden paradise!

Elayne is an excellent host!! Her house is clean and had a wonderful view. She has two cute cat, they are friendly. Even Elayne needs to work everyday, she still gave us many good suggestions for our trip in Savusavu. She is a really loveliest and easy going lady. No wonder here is a wonderful place which I would like to stay longer.
