Our home is almost at the ocean, in the small village of Stokkseyri at the south coast of Iceland. It is a perfect place to stay to explore south Iceland. In may 2017 we set up a new kitchen and a second bathroom with a walk-in shower for our guests, this is in the next building. You can use the terrace and the garden. You share the living room with the family. We have a hot pot that can be used by the guests from 18.00 -22.00 o'clock at night. Breakfast for extra price.For a small extra charge you can wash your laundry.

About the Area
We are in a small quiet village on the south cost of Iceland. 80 min drive form the airport. The coast is in 3 min walk, so is the busstop where you can go to all the main towns. There is a small shop in the village but a shopping center in Selfoss within 10 min drive. It is a perfect stay to go and see the volcano Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, waterfall Gullfoss, and the Geysir, geothermalpark Reykjanes, the golden circle and many other attractions in south Iceland. It is 2 min walk to a good lobster-restaurant or a cafféhouse , ghost-museum, hunting museum or just to take a walk on the beach and enjoy the animal life.

House Rules
Please take your shoes off in the entrance.
After 10 oclock pm we ask you to be quiet.
No smoking in the house, but you are welcome to smoke outside.
No pets allowed.
The guests kitchen must be cleaned by the user
We do your lawndry for a little extra charge
Cancelation policy.
The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 70% of the total price if they cancel in the 30 days before arrival. If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price.

Great. I can not rate the breakfast because we brought food and told the host that it was not necessary. Everything else great: clean, space to cook, comfortable beds and excellent treatment.

Worte können nicht beschreiben, wie wohl wir uns gefühlt haben. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, absolut sauber, gemütlich, ein großartiges Frühstück, tolle Tipps und wunderbare Gespräche. Die besten Gastgeber, die man sich wünschen kann, die mit ganzem Herzen dabei sind und mit Passion und Leidenschaft für das Land und die Natur und ihre Gäste da sind. Es war eine ganz besondere Zeit für uns!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
