My family consists of six,living together under the same roof.A boy of 10 is our light and in-laws are our duty.Our home is just a minute walk from the main road and is an easily communicating road to all the sides.Morning and evening walks are the best as you can enjoy the views which are breathtaking.
Both me and my husband goes to duty and son to school ,the house is looked by my in- laws.Our house is in the tea garden area so one can enjoy the greeneries any time.We have a roof top unique parking area..open to the sky but safely locked inside.All the age groups are welcome to this home away from home home stay.

Language spoken in my home is basically Nepali but we the hosts are comfortable in English, Hindi&Bengali as well.
At least two cars can be parked on the roof top parking area.

About the Area
Our house is only one and a half hour drive from the nearest airport and railway station.
The nearest airport is the Bagdora airport. After reaching one can easily avail jeeps in share for Kurseong.
The nearest railway station is the New Jalpaiguri Station(NJP). Here too jeeps are easily available.
If the guest desire to have a private cab then the home stay can arrange for the same. Any problem the hosts are always ready to help you out.

Please be aware that we require guests to pay the full price of the booking in advance of the stay. We require this payment to be made within 72 hours after the booking is confirmed. Thanks :)
Cancellation Policy:
We ask guests to give minimum six months of notice for any cancellation. Unfortunately any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.
As I am a working woman so breakfast at 8:30 would be the best time and preffered too.VEG DAYS ARE EVERY TUESDAY AND FULL MOON DAY.Pets are allowed but are to be kept in the terrace and not in the room.Foods are available at home anything from out side will be charged accordingly.Type of foods to be discussed atleast an hour earlier . Diabetic patients need to inform before hand so that the food is not mixed with anything not prefferd. You can use the kitchen anytime but yes please do not make it messy.At night please do not be home late, at the most by 8:30p.m. So please come and have a comfortable stay as well as a nice experience in a joint family. I am sure you will love it. And yes love birds are welcome too as the place is quiet and you can give as much time to your beloved.

Even if we just had a short stay at Arunas it was a great stay! She cared about us very good and friendly and food we got served was delicious!!!! Especially the aloo paratha for breakfast! We totally fell in love with it and the calm atmosphere over there! Thanks aruna!

Our experience staying with Host Aruna was excellent. She and her husband ensured that they provided all the possible support for our stay. They helped us in getting taxi’s arranged for pick up from airport, local sightseeing’s and for our onward journey. As we were moving to Lamahatta, they arranged a vehicle for the same. The taxi fares were very reasonable and food was also very good. They were very friendly and in fact this was the first time we were staying in a homestay. Thanks to Aruna and family for the care and good interactions we had.

Staying with Aruna was a great experience. Her home is on a quiet hill top overlooking jungle and tea plantations. You can hear the nearby waterfall flowing as you fall asleep, and the birds chirping as you wake up. It's a great place if you're looking to relax for a day or two. The local town of kurseong does not have as many shops and restaurants as darjeeling, but instead you get quiet, peacefulness and fewer people and houses. It's easy to walk to kurseong (around 20min).
The place is right off the main road. Not many people know singell by name (from asking around a bit) but there are enough landmarks to find it easily, and Aruna can certainly help with this (you can also get your driver to call her for directions).
Aruna and her family were very kind and helpful. Aruna helped me to arrange a taxi for seeing some local sites and getting back down, and advised me on ways to get back down to siliguri/Bagdogra to fly home.
The room was comfortable and a good size. Each room looks over hills and mountains covered in jungle and tea bushes. Very beautiful! The bathroom was clean and the hot water heater worked very well.
An unexpected highlight of my stay was the food! The family made all local food (I requested to try as much as possible!) and it was all delicious. The price was very reasonable and my hosts kept feeding me until I had to stay stop!!!
The home has no wifi (but that's also a benefit if you really want to switch off for a while).
Overall, if you are a budget traveler looking for a place to relax with fewer tourists around (like darjeeling), then this is a great place for you.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
