Welcome to our home in Kolkata. Set amidst lush green surroundings, with lovely views of open green spaces, trees, shrubs and natural water bodies, it is part of arguably what is one of the most beautiful and upmarket residential complexes in Kolkata.
The residential complex comes with a jogging track, a fully equipped Club (may be availed on payment) with facilities for indoor and outdoor games, swimming pool and gymnasium. It also has an adjoining shopping complex, with a supermarket, pharmacy, IT center and few cafes/eateries.
Ours is a spacious, bright and airy three bedroom duplex apartment, occupying a part of the sixth and seventh floor of the building. It has wonderful views of lush greenery and surrounding lakes. The ambiance of our home is one of warmth, comfort and tranquility, permeated with an enduring sense of aesthetics.
The bedroom in the lower floor is available for guests. It has a king size double bed, built in wardrobes, air-conditioning, and attached bathroom (with WC, shower cubicle and hot water supply). Fresh bed linen is provided once every three days and fresh bath linen every day, along with basic toiletries. Personal laundry service is available on payment.
Breakfast (toast, jam, spreads, cereal/porridge, eggs, and yogurt/milk, tea/coffee) is included in the tariff. Lunch and dinner (healthy and delicious Indian meals) are available on advance request, and are chargeable as per listed rates. Safe drinking water is available from a bottled water dispenser. Guests are free to make tea/coffee for themselves in the kitchen. The option of our guests preparing / warming light meals for themselves in the kitchen is open for discussion.
We don't have a work desk in the guest bedroom, and guest are most welcome to use the living room for that. Alternately, we will be happy to provide a small folding table and chair in the bedroom.
Our home is not just a place for us to live in. It is also a space for us for artistic expression. It houses our personal collection of artifacts collected from our travels to different parts of the world.
You could sit in the balcony adjoining the living room and absorb your surroundings, reading a book (from our collection) over a cup of tea. Or you could relax in the living room and listen to music of your choice from our large collection of audio CDs - mainly Indian and Western Classical Music, folk/country music and of course, 'Rabindrasangeet'.
We are a fun loving and easy going family - the two of us and our daughter (who studies in a boarding school). The three of us are irrepressible travelers and art & culture enthusiasts, with a deep belief in ‘one world’ and the oneness of humanity - in our shared human destiny.
We have a very keen interest in peoples and cultures from all over the world, and are always open to building new acquaintances and friendships. We are therefore very happy to exchange ideas, views, experiences and stories with our guests. Moreover, with our in-depth knowledge of Kolkata, we are available to provide advice/ideas on places of interest, cuisine and shopping.

About the Area
Location:
- Less than two kilometers from the Peerless Hospital (near the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute), the housing complex is off the EM Bypass.
- It is about eight kilometers from the Park Circus Connector, five kilometers south of the Kasba Connector, nine kilometers from the Gariahat crossing and within a kilometer from Garia Railway Station. The nearest metro railway station (Kavi Subhash/New Garia) is within a comfortable half kilometer.
- There is a taxi and rickshaw stand just outside the residential complex.

House Rules
1. We would love our guests to feel completely at home and we shall stand by to provide all necessary support and assistance.
2. We expect our guests to take necessary care to keep the space clean, and not cause any damage from carelessness or indifference.
3. Meals are served in the living cum dining room and we regret we are unable to provide room service. We request our guests to abide by meal times, as much as possible.
4. Water is a precious commodity and we request our guests to use it judiciously.
5. 11 am to 11.45 am is housekeeping time and hence access to the room is required during this period.
6. This is a very secure property - guests are required to meet their visitors (if any) outside the premises. Options to do so include the common lobby on the ground floor of the building, or one of cafes in the adjoining shopping complex.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
