Tim Cahill writes, that a journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles, my stay in Shiraz has been proving him right. To me this has set a new positive standard in home-stay experience.
The apartment is spacious and luxurious, my room was cozy, comfortable bed. Attached to the bedroom I had my own modern bathroom, which was very convenient. There is a spacious modern kitchen, where I could prepare my own food, coffee, tea. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a variety of choices, and I tried never to miss my hosts’ wonderful Persian lunch or dinner. Its irresistible. This way I also learned a lot about Iranian regional cooking, spices, recipes and ways of preparation.
One of the best moments of every day was the early view from the balcony down to the city of Shiraz and the surrounding mountains. Magic!
Communication with my hosts was perfect, from the first contact till departure, always timely and effective. High speed internet in the apartment functioning well and never failed.
Couple of times Sherry and Jasmin took me outside of the city, showing me the countryside gardens and magnificent views, sharing coffee, ice-cream and other culinary treasures along the way. They know the city very well: there was always a place and a solution for everything, I was asking for. And they cared, I would find places and people. A most heart-warming experience was their preparation of a small Christmas party for me, their guest from foreign land. That night, my hosts and their family made me forget the distance to my own family. It felt very much like home
I love Anaïs Nin’s quote: “We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls.” My own experience of other countries, cultures is very strongly mediated through soul searching and connecting. In this sense, meeting Sherry and Yasmin was a most beautiful and memorable experience. Sharing a wonderful home, food, great moments and feeling how much they cared in some stressful moments (for example when waiting for my overdue visa extension) is a jewel in the puzzle understanding this wonderful country: Iran. If, as Tim Cahill writes, a journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles, my stay in Shiraz has been proving him right. I left Shiraz knowing, dear hosts, I will be back, and we shall meet again!

Sherry is a welcoming person and has a nice apartment in a good neighborhood. She also knows a lot about the city and the sights around. We had some nice conversations and she helped us with our questions. The separate room with its own bathroom is in excellent condition. We really felt at home!

We had a lovely stay at Sherry’s place.
The room is perfect, big enough and with the bathroom & toilet inside.
Sherry’s breakfast were delicious; very kindly she helped us organizing our 2 days visit in Shiraz and even setting up the snapp trip for us to save some money. Thanks a lot Sherry and definitely will stay at your place again when visiting further the Shiraz surroundings.May 2018

Me and my friend Chiara stayed at Sherry's home and we loved it!
We are so greatful for the good time we spent with her!
The house is very beautiful, the neighbourhood is quiet and the food she cooks is amazing! We had very nice breakfast and we were so lucky to try her home cooked Kalampolo (local dish).
She took us around town and showed us the best corners of the city and she took care of us as we were her doughters.
I can really reccomend her highly!
Thank you Sherry,Alice & Chiara

I started my homestay experience at Shohres place with a very short notice and she set the bars very high! Next to her beautiful apartment, the comfortable bedroom and especially this amazing balcony with view on Shiraz, I enjoyed her presence during my stay: my nicest moments were the coffee we had on the balcony, her invitation to a nowruz evening at her family's place and especially the wonderful day at Persepolis with a picnic that she and her friends/family prepared and surprised me with. I was really happy staying at her place and so sad to leave. Thank you Shohre for all these wonderful moments and your help with everything I needed (especially your constant availability for organizing my taxi rides with snapp!) I wish you all the best and many nice and inspiring guests. Kind regards, Heike
