Really enjoyed my stay with Derek and Mariana, a lovely warm welcome, really laid back and relaxed and gave me space to do my own thing but also lots of friendly chats. The home is very clean and tidy and the guest room is beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Brilliant to have own bathroom. Derek has some excellent and informative books about visiting Dublin in the drawer in the room, plus he gave me lots of tips about places to see and walks in the area, and he met me at the station on arrival and helped with cases, and the same on the day of departure helped with cases. Derek was an excellent host and I highly recommend him.

Derek was a really great host during my stay in Blackrock. Derek's place is warm and welcoming. We had interesting things in common related to work and personal development. He is a cool, good-tempered, reserved, and hard worker guy. I would highly recommend Derek as a host.

Derek and Mariana were the perfect host. They really made me feel welcome and would help you in anyway they can. The apartment itself is kept very clean and tidy. You'll also have you own exclusive private bathroom. If you're lucky you might get to try some of their cooking.
Blackrock is a really lovely location. Very safe and relaxed little village. It has all the amenities you’ll need include a big supermarket (Super Value) and the apartment is only a few minutes away from the bus stop or train station.
35mins via bus or 25mins via train will get you into Dublin centre. So transport is very easy. You are also not too far from Dún Laoghaire which is also a beautiful little town. If you like walks, hikes with some beautiful scenery Bray to Greystone walk and Howth walk are not too far and I highly recommend to do both. Sandymount beach walk and Poolbeg Lighthouse are also nice visiting if you have time or looking to fill some time.
If there are availabilities for your dates I wouldn't hesitate to book. I look forward to staying at Derek and Marian's home again when I next come to visit Dublin.
