I live in a lovely area of Cork co very private but still very conventient to all amenities, tourist attractions, pubs/restaurants and shopping. We have a great bus service to cork city (every 15 minutes) and the Carrigaline bus stop is just outside my gate.
I live in a 4 bedroom Bungalow overlooking Carrigaline town. Carrigaline is a small picturesque town, about 15-20 minutes outside of Cork City. The town is beautiful and self sufficient. It is predominately residential, has lovely walks and a quaint village atmosphere.
I live about 5 kms away from the beaches, and very close to Kinsale, Cobh, Crosshaven and Blarney. It is conveniently located to reach other tourist attractions like Kerry, Killarney and West Cork.
I've lived in Carrigaline all my life and apart from loving it, I also know a lot of the history, places to visit, paths to walk and areas to explore. I'm happy to recommend and chat with you on what you would like to do while you stay with me. I walk a lot when I get the time and like to read in my spare time, but I enjoy staying busy and being around people.
I have 3 children all married and have 6 beautiful grand children . They live quite near me so I see them fairly often. I've been hosting students as a host Mum for the past 14 yrs so I have plenty experience, with visitors and I really enjoy it .
My home has 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuite and a large new bathroom , kitchen and television room. I have a large front and back garden, which is quite handy to run around/play a game in .
I have plenty parking, and I do not have any pets.

About the Area
Direct bus from Cork City to Carrigaline, and I am a 5-7 minute walk from the bus stop.
My house is located at a 5-7 minute walk to the Supermarkets, Shopping, Pubs and Restaurants. On a Wed/Sat Night some of the pubs do Live Irish Traditional music.
2 minutes walk from the bus stop to Cork, 6 minutes walk to the village center in Carrigaline.
20 minute bus ride/drive to Cork, 10 minutes to Crosshaven (beaches), 20 minute drive to Kinsale/Cobh.

Il mio soggiorno è andato molto bene. La signora è socievole, simpatica e cortese. La camera era luminosa e pulita. Anche il bagno era impeccabile. C'era la doccia e la vasca, il bagno era spazioso e abbastanza grande, ma in condiviso con la proprietaria .Al fine di mio soggiorno La proprietaria si ha offerta di accompagnarmi al hotel che avevo prenotato prima di venire da lei.

Pauline offered us tea and sandwiches when we arrived,which made us feel very welcome.Our bedroom was beautiful and the bed very comfy.Pauline got in her car and showed us where we wanted to go!Breakfast next morning was

We are a young couple who stayed at Pauline's for one night. She was great with us, she is very lovely. The house is really close from pubs and restaurants and 15 min driving to cork. The room and bathroom clean and comfortable. In the morning excellent breakfast and nice chat with Pauline. Highly recommended going to her house!

If there is a place to be during your stay in Cork, it's Pauline's house. Great stay. I have never seen such lovely women !!! On Friday we came late... Pauline was waiting for us with a cup of tea :) We had a very well sleep and the breakfast was delicious. Furthermore Pauline is very helpful and will always advise you if you don't know what to do in Cork !

Pauline is a lovely widow/grandma who does everything to ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible. She provided us with a packed lunch every day and invited us to join some of her family evenings over a glass of wine. The facilities were always clean and Cork City Center is a 25 min busdrive away. A ten journey ticket is available for 13€. From there all the busses to Galway, Kerry, Dublin, Blarney...leave regulary. The "corner house" (pub) is 100 m down the street and a perfect place to enjoy your evenings over a pint of guiness and live music.
We can only recommend you staying with Pauline at Ivanhoe :).
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
