I live in one of the most popular areas in Galway. It is situated 0.5 km from the city centre. Our home is within 10 minutes walking distance to Galway city centre and our famous beach Salthill. We live within a 5 minute walk from NUIG. Also there is a bus stop outside our house that will take our guests into the city within 3-4 minutes.
I live with my 3 children who are 21, 19 and 17 years old. We are a friendly, outgoing family who have a great amount of experience in hosting students. We like to think our house is a home away from home for students/ guests.
There is an adjoining living area to the single room where our guests can relax and watch T.V if they wish.

My stay with Bernie was great. The house is very close to the centre and you can come and go very easily . Bernie is a very friendly and caring guests . She really makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I really recommend you to stay with her.

My stay at Bernie's house was very pleasant. She is very kind and always cares about you and that you don't lack anything. The house is nice, comfortable and clean. I strongly recommend staying in her home. Moreover, the location is very good because it is close to the city centre, the university and in a quiet neighbourhood.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
