Definitely a 5 star experience. The family were so wonderful to me during my time in Florence. They were so welcoming and always very helpful. Would certainly recommend to others

In my last visit in Florence I had an unforgettable home stay experience with Angela and her husband Gianni. Both Angela and Gianni are so very nice and helpful. The first day Gianni met me at the door and helped me get my suitcase upstairs. Angela went out of way to make me feel at home. They invited me for a welcome lunch. Angela showed me how to get to the city center. Whenever I had any question about anything Angela was there to help. She made phone calls for me to arrange day trips and checked many internet sites to help me looking for long term housing since I want to return to Florence late for a longer stay. I said I love opera, Angela tried to find all possible performances during my stay. When she learned all shows were sold out she asked another house guest Jade ( a beautiful and talented voice student in Florence) to see if she knew any other musical events. At end I attended a musical event in a beautiful church with Jade! My last day in Florence was the birthday of the city. Angela and Gianni took me to see the parade then took me to Piazzale Michelangelo. That was a day I won’t forget! I want to thank Angela and Gianni for making my stay so wonderful. I want to thank Jade for her friendship. I highly recommend Angela’ home stay to anyone. Oh, I almost forget to mention the food. You just have to try Angela’s food!!

Angela and Gianni made my visit to Florence feel so much more welcoming than I could have imagined. They have a beautiful and cozy home located within a short distance of the city center. Gianni is always around with their dog Priscilla, a dynamic duo that always brought laughter to the kitchen. I first arrived at their apartment, exhausted after thirty plus hours of travelling, and was welcomed with breakfast and a tour of the city. Angela was such a gracious and kind host, and I already miss my time there. She has a great sense of humor and always gave great advice on sight-seeing, and was always willing to help me with my Italian. She took the trouble of doing my laundry once a week, and regularly changed my bedding with fresh linen. I don't think it would've been possible to enjoy Florence as much as I did without the kindness of Angela and her household. I can't wait to book my next visit to Italy, and I wholeheartedly plan on booking with Angela the next time I visit. Grazie mille, Angela and Gianni! Il piacere era tutto mio!!

I had a lovely stay at Angela and Gianni's place. It is located approximately an 8minute walk from Campo di Marte station, is close to bus stops, restaurants and shops and is an easy walk straight into the city centre. The house was always very clean and Angela kept my room clean and even washed my clothes!! She also only spoke to me in Italian which was great as I am studying the language. She spoke slowly and clearly which was perfect for a beginner like me! I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are a student of Italian language. You are also able to join them for dinner for 10 euros and this is the best place to get involved in the language - I wish I could have done this more! I loved my room and it was easy to come and go as I pleased. They were always willing to help me with anything which I really appreciated and I felt very comfortable here.. Gianni sings in a choir and they even took me along to one of his concerts! They are a lovely family with a good sense of humour and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you both for a lovely stay and really making me feel at home in Florence xx

Such an amazing stay! I arrived in the evening around 8ish. After my long bus ride, to be greeted with such love and comfort by Angela and Gianni was truly heartwarming. They offered me a wonderful dinner that was so very delicious! The pair are honestly such kind people, if you have any problems or concerns you can tell they really care and want to help you! I honestly could not ask any more of hosts. They are just amazing! Every morning there was free breakfast with a great selection of different foods! The apartment is really well located as well, in Santa Croce. Easy access to public transportation via Bus number 6. If you are looking for a homestay in Firenze, look no further, it doesn't get better than this!

Angela and Gianni were very nice and helpful hosts. They gave me a lot of useful advice about tourism, shopping, gastronomy, etc.
The house was clean, tidy and comfortable.
Good location to access to everywhere in Firenze on foot or by bus (Duomo, Gallerie degli Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Galleria dell'Accademia, train stations, etc.)
I had a really wonderful time at Angela’s house. I would highly recommend this family to anyone.
Thank you, Angela!

I spent one month at Angela and Gianni's house. Both of then are family to their guests.
When I first arrived to their house, I was greeted by Gianni by the curb when the taxi dropped me off.
Angela is an amazing woman with a great sense of humor, and also an excellent cook. She taught me ,as well as other guests how to make pasta from the scratch (by hand), and how to cook several delicious Italian food including "Teramisu".
Angela and Gianni were very helpful giving me ideas about places to visit within the city as well as outside of the city. They gave me a city map and directions about how to get to certain places by walking or taking the city bus.
Their house location is very good, close to shopping stores, markets, restaurant, bus stop etc.
Their place was always clean. Towels and bed linen were change periodically or as needed.
My dirty clothes were washed by Angela, every week, with no additional cost.
Angela is a woman with a young heart that entertained us with her jokes and good sense of humor; Gianni is a gentleman and always willing to help.
I had a fantastic time staying with the Cerbai family (Angela, Gianni and their dog Pricilla). I will highly recommend this place to anyone.July 2017
This summer, I lived with Angela, Gianni and their dog Priscilla while I studied in Florence, and I can honestly say it will be really hard to leave them in a week's time! What a summer it has been! From the start, they welcomed me and treated me as if I was family. Angela is one of the most caring, wonderful and hilarious women I have ever met! She's always smiling, and loves to talk, especially in Italian! We had so many good times cooking Italian food together, practicing Italian, and sharing jokes! She has so much love in her heart and she makes everyone who comes to stay feel welcome. She has been a true blessing in my life and in the lives of so many others, I love you Angela! :-)
I have so much love for this family, and it's thanks to them that my stay in Florence has been a time I will cherish forever. If you are wanting to visit Italy and are keen to have a real Italian experience, I couldn't recommend this family more. They hold a very special place in my heart, and I know they will also in yours. :-)
