About corona virus.
The world has become easier to move and connect.
So the whole world is now suffering from coronavirus. We are forced to have inconvenient lives such as fear of infection.Restrictions on going out, travel abroad, etc also put stress on people. But the earth is only one.we can't live any other planet yet. That's why, though inconvenient, let each person take action not to make others infected and not infected themselves. And let's return to a free world quickly.
From now on, guests who come Jona's house may not be able to have the same experience and entertainment as before. But by meeting, we can connect to each other.Even in inconvenient life, if you observe what you should keep properly and do sightseeing, I will not refuse from me.After confirming the current situation, please come carefully at your own risk.

Yoko san is a very friendly and caring host, you can easily discuss with her and she pays attention of what you need during your stay. The food she prepared is also delicious. You can also try some activities like caligraphy.
She lives on the first floor, the second floor have 2 rooms, a common living-room and toilets. The bathroom is in the first floor with a bath which is very nice at the end of the day.
Osaka is quite easily to access from the house, the train station is 15 minutes walk and another 15 minutes train you are in center of Osaka.

I had a wonderful stay with Yoko-san! Her place was beautiful and would 100% visit again

Yoko was very caring and hospitable during my month long stay in Sakai. She understands and speaks English very well, but for me I talk in Japanese whenever I can to practice.
The area is very peaceful and resembles my own neighborhood, but with an additional benefit of convenience stores and train stations within walking distance. The room and living spaces are comfortable and comes with a fridge and kitchen.Yoko was very flexible when it came to my check-in and check-out times. She took the time to drive me to a TAQ-Q-BIN to drop off my luggage for airport delivery and I appreciate her for that.
Because my itinerary was very busy, I did not have much time to spend with Yoko, but from the times I have talked to her she is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Sakai area. If I had more time I would love to spend more time with her.I tried the traditional breakfast on my last day and I honestly think her cooking was better than some of the meals I had at some of the ryokans I went to.
I would definitely recommend this place as a place to stay in the Osaka area, and I would come here again whenever I come back to Osaka.

Yoko-san is a great host and I think I couldn’t have chosen a better place to arrive in Japan.
Her house is in a convenient location not too far from KIX, just a few meters away from a supermarket, drugstores, convenient stores, 100Yen store aswell as a tram station right in front of her house. I also recommend to visit the ramen store at the end of the street!
The next train station is 15min away, the train will get you directly to Namba.
But I highly recommend to not only go to Osaka, but also take your time (if you have it) to discover Sakai!
Yoko-san herself is very friendly and cheerful and helps you with all kinds of things whenever she has time. She also always gave me good recommendations on where to go and what to visit. We shared several (Japanese) meals with the other guests and even had a nice Christmas party! She also held a tea ceremony for us. I really enjoyed my time and hope I can come again! :)November 2023

Yoko-san is a caring host, you can communicate in a mix of english and japanese if need be. He location is situated by a station and a supermarket for easy transportation access and great selection of foods (wait after 6pm for discounted bentos hehe). In the homestay you have a fridge, a sink, stove and living room you can make use of if you are not travelling, just be sure to segregate your garbage, wash your dishes, clean up if you make a mess... y'know the normal etiquette required when you're a guest in someone's home. I've also made it a habit to at least let her know if I will be coming back late to not let her worry (its not a big deal but I think its polite to at least mention something)
All the folks around her neighborhood are friendly just make sure you don't go too far. Stuff you need to be aware is that there will be station noises when its running, but I dont think you need to worry if you're passed out tired from travelling. Oh and the drug store across the tracks has cheaper bottled water/ teas than the convenience stores so take advantage of those too. Overall it was an enjoyable stay! I would talk to the host about the day if its not too late in the evening and she'd listen and even give recommendations on what to try to visit next.October 2023
Yoko is a very lovely and helpful person. She gaves us a good direction to her place so we can‘t get lost. The house is also located near many restaurant, supermarket, parks and train station.
