Casa Hera means Home of Love. The name tells about our commitment to welcome you as a privileged guest in our home at all times. We are two young and passionate people willing to share their home with travellers worldwide. You will also share the home with 2 adorable and quiet cats and a brave and friendly dog.

We named Casa Hera mixing our two homeland cultures & languages: Casa means home in Italian while Hera is love in Dhluo, the language of the Luo people from the Lake Victoria region.

The space
Casa Hera is a Swahili style independent two-storey villa, built using local materials, with its makuti roof and white-painted according to tradition and culture.

We offer one spacious and sunny en-suite bedroom.

All the furniture is locally handmade, in the typical Funzi coastal style. Quality and comfort guide us in picking the best linen and amenities just for you to unwind, relax and enjoy your time.

The house is built to be naturally ventilated and freshened by the cool ocean breeze at all times, however, each bedroom is also fitted with blackout curtains, a mosquito net and a ceiling fan for your peaceful nights.

Free WIFI is available on the entire property and we are pleased to offer our guests secure parking within the compound.
All the bedrooms are fitted with universal power adaptors and laundry service is available at a fee.

The spacious and sunny en-suite bedroom is located on the main floor.
It is fitted with a king-size bed and a single bed with bedside tables and reading lights. Clean and soft beddings are provided.
Space for clothes and luggage is available.

The private smart bathroom is equipped with a stylish glass frameless shower, sink, dressing mirror, plentiful storage space and soft bathrobe and towels.
Hot and cold water is always guaranteed with strong pressure from our borehole.
Guest access
A shared open-air living room welcomes you as you enter Casa Hera. This is our favourite place in the house. We can’t wait to sit with you for a coffee to share travel stories, dreams and adventures. Fresh and safe drinking water is available at every time, while café americano, tea and snacks are offered at no cost from noon at your convenience.

You can enjoy your breakfast and dinner at an extra cost in Casa Hera's evergreen and well-maintained garden.

Casa Hera is surrounded by a one-acre garden of exotic trees, green grass and fragrant flowers.

Casa Hera’s garden is home to the vast and extraordinary Kenyan wildlife. You will see a couple of Hadada Ibis birds strolling around while feeding, a Colobus monkey family of four climbing on the trees and resting in the shades, and Holub Golden Weavers singing happily while working on their nests on the palm tree next to the living room.

Curious Sky Monkeys and beautiful Vervet Monkeys together with various birdlife - White Browed Coucals, Black Kites, African Marsh Harriers, Hornbills, Woodland and Grey Headed Kingfishers - choose the Casa Hera environment as their home every day.

Heaven is a place on earth: Casa Hera’s garden is the place to experience it while you meditate, read a book, do yoga, stretch, enjoy a drink and the Upepo - the cool ocean breeze.
Other things to note
We offer an inclusive, peaceful and private environment. Despite gender, sexual orientation, religion, and beliefs, everybody will always be welcomed at Casa Hera.

We are willing to welcome you into our home and help you, from the moment you book, to plan your unforgettable journey to the magnificent Diani beaches. Do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time to seek advice on your travel plans.

We are family and Casa Hera is your new home away from home.
