Joseph's house is in a small village, about 30 min on foot from Shimoni (5 min driving). Joseph had communicated with me that unfortunately he would not be able to receive me personally. But nevertheless he organized my stay perfectly. His friend Said welcomed me, showed me the village and Shimoni. Fatima from nextdoor prepared delicious village breakfasts for me.
Shimoni is a very small town with some sites of tourist interest, i.e. the Shimoni slave caves and a small, but very interesting museum on slavery in Kenya.
Thank you so much to Joseph as well as to everybody else (including the great village children) who made my stay unforgettable!
