Everything English Homestay is the cosy home of Fabian and Lillian. This stylish home is tucked away in a quiet little village in Cameron Highlands, Pahang, one few places in Malaysia that has a highland climate of average temperature of 20 C.
Everything English will make your stay feel like in a luxury hotel but with a fraction of the price you pay staying at a 5-star hotel.
A sheltered footpath which is just 5 minute away leads you to the lively market town of Brinchang where there are excellent Chinese restaurants where you can enjoy a hotpot meal, fast foods and a lively night market during the weekends. This homestay is perfectly placed as a holiday base to explore the adjacent local attractions such as strawberry farms, tea plantations, vegetable farms, nurseries and a golf course. The accommodation was very good: apartment and my room both very 'homey', clean and well-supplied with everything you need. You get sent full info videos about arriving, getting into the apartment etc., so everything is very well-organised and clear. The location is also excellent: near a big temple, all the town facilities etc. Brinchang was a good place to stay in the Cameron Highlands as it felt less touristy than perhaps other towns in the area.
The disappointment was that this is not really a homestay, but more an AirBNB - after I 'd booked it, I was told that this is the hosts' second home, and in fact they live most of the time in another place, some distance away. So, as the reasons for chosing a homestay are often to meet local people, get to know more about the country and area etc. this didn't work out. I was on my own in the apartment for nearly all the 3 nights stay until another couple of guests arrived on the last night.
Also, there could have been more info in the apartment for visitors, - about the town, area, how to get to nearby attractions etc. I know this is all pretty much available on the internet, google maps etc. but info from people who know the place and what it offers is always useful and appreciated, and saves a lot of time searching. The hosts did answer most of my questions through using WhatsApp but supplying more info would have been appreciated.
Thanks to my hosts and for making their apartment available for visitors - overall it was a good place to be.Host reply

I am glad that I've found this place. My vacation become wonderful and complete by having a really nice place to stay. The location was strategic and the place was so clean and cozy. I am fallen in love with their English Concept. The host was so friendly and try to accommodate us as much as they can. My partner and I was totally enjoy our holiday. Highly recommended for everyone.

As this was our first experience homestay, I must say it feels like home! Our room was so homey - clean room, clean bathroom (really cute tho!), nice little balcony, etc. As we arrived, we were served with hot tea & cookies with this lovely English tea set :) The weather at night was really cold - 18°C but then again, we had a nice & peaceful sleep. As for breakfast, we were served with English breakfast - banana pancake with chocolate syrup & scones. All prepared by our lovely host, Lilian and they were sooo delicious! Thank you Lilian for accommodating us & who even dropped us a message prior to our arrival! If you're looking for a homey, quiet & cozy place, this is the best place to stay!

It was our first homestay and we are blessed to have such a good experience! Thanks to the lovely couple Fabian and Lee Lean! Fabian was very responsive to email queries prior to the booking and Lee Lean dropped us a message one day before the stay to ask if we need assistance in getting to their home. They were also very very accommodating to us. Having tolerated our turn up on the wrong date. Fabian and Lee Lean were not angry but truly concerned about our safety. Not forgetting the yummy English style breakfast and tea that was specially prepared early in the morning before we leave. There was never a dull moment too with all the candid sharing of life experiences by the couple. This will stay as part of the beautiful memories we had in Cameron Highlands.

Really nice apartment sharing setup right in town but also a quiet location. Try to visit on a Friday or Saturday night since the night market in Brinchang is great, especially for food lovers. I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4.
