I am a Professional Artist who is Gay. My medium is Photography, exhibited globally and research published. I live on my own on the edge of the Catlins District of Otago in New Zealand. Accessible to coastal, mountains, lakes, river scenery and heaps of wildlife options. Many local Rail Trails to walk or cycle. Near to many historical Gold Field areas of interest. This is also a rural location. My small 2 bedroom cottage is being developed over time, as energy and money permit. I repurpose a lot of old things and stuff, to find other uses and recycle many objects. The garden and section layout, along with building a studio are next on the plan.

December 2017
Xavier is a friendly, warm, welcoming person. He was generous with his time, his resources and his advice. His house is eclectic, a work-in-progress, but it was also very comfortable. I was shown areas I would never have found on my own, met his friends, and had great discussions. It was a perfect introduction yo Homestay.

Xavier was a great host, & showed me around the area. He also helped me with the family research I was doing.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
