Your hosts Jeanette and Grant Davidson, are long time residents of Lower Hutt city, we have a very good knowledge of the Wellington region and the Wairarapa which we love to share with guests. We have travelled extensively and enjoyed some fantastic experiences, we aim to ensure our guests have a wonderful and memorable stay with us.
We are located in the heart of Lower Hutt approximately 20 minutes north of Wellington CBD. We are a comfortable 5-7 minute walk from Lower Hutt city centre and a comfortable 5-7 minute walk in the opposite direction to Waterloo train station which has a direct link to Westpac Stadium (events) and Wellington city (the train trip into Wellington takes around 15-20 minutes and stops right outside the Stadium). Wellington train station is adjacent to the beautiful waterfront area with many restaurants, bars and activities.
We have a lovely home in a very nice location. Our guests enjoy exclusive use of upstairs including; bedroom with queen size bed, lounge - featuring 50" TV with full Sky package, and fold out sofa bed if required. Own bathroom with shower and bath, and a small study nook. Free Wi-Fi also available. The nook has a small fridge (with complementary bottled water and milk) which can be used to store drinks, food etc.
There is a private back courtyard for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

About the Area
Our house is located 1.1km from Queensgate Mall (the largest shopping centre in the Wellington region with over 140 shops) and Lower Hutt City centre. We are 900m from Waterloo train station which has direct links into Wellington city. We are in a very nice area and the house is set well back from the road, it has double glazed windows so there is minimal noise.

Treat home with respect. No smoking on premises. Ensure house is secure and doors locked when going out. Please do not bring strangers into our home. If you would like to invite a friend over, ask first. No pets. Payment by cash or bank transfer, sorry no eftpos or credit card facilities. If you have any special requests please ask and we will do our very best to accommodate.

It was a joy to arrive at such spacious and immaculate accommodation, where our hosts had paid such attention to detail and provided everything we could possibly need during our stay, including delicious breakfasts, heating and cooling, and a very comfy bed. A quiet and peaceful location which was central to shops, a train station and great cafes.
Jeanette and Grant were incredibly welcoming and accomodating and were helpful when we approached them for local knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed our friendly chats.

Grant and Jeanette are amazing hosts. Myself and a friend stayed with them for 5 1/2 months while we student taught in New Zealand. We had our own space upstairs including two rooms, a bathroom and a spot for our food which also had a mini fridge and microwave. Their home is overall beautiful, very welcoming and in a great area. Their place is located near the train station, so you can easily make your way into Wellington. Since we were so far away from home, they did a great job welcoming us in and making us feel like we had a home away from home. We enjoyed sitting down and getting to know Grant and Jeanette, they are very easy to get along with. Also, Grant and Jeanette have traveling experience and they know the ins and outs of New Zealand. They were always willing to provide us with tips and ideas when it came to traveling. We would recommend their place to anyone who will be staying in the Lower Hutt area and hopefully in the future we are able to come back and visit.

It was a marvelous time with Jeanette and Grant, they are absolutely great. They are friendly and helpful and really create home away from home. House itself is beautiful, guests have whole storey just for them. If you don't know what to do or where to go, they can always give you an advise. It's very safe, even for a young women travelling alone. I'm very glad that I had a chance to meet them.

Grant and Jeanette are great hosts, They provided a lovely peaceful place to stay, spacious rooms, very clean and modern. Close proximity to Queensgate Mall and to Waterloo train station both only short walking distance away.

Grant & Jeanette are a fabulous couple their B&B is very clean and tidy.They are very welcoming and have thought of all the little extra's to make your stay enjoyable.No street noise at all I would definitely stay there again if i'm down that way. If there is anything to improve on maybe with summer coming the only suggestion I would have is blinds/curtains to keep out the early light.

Immaculate and comfortable with own separate bathroom, and tv lounge. Small fridge, electric jug and dishes were adequate for me. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Grant and Jeanette were more than welcoming. They went out of their way to make me feel at home. They contacted me several times before my stay to get an idea of what I would enjoy doing in New Zealand. They were thoughtful and caring people who went the extra mile in making my experience fantastic! They showed me around the local area and gave tips for exploring other places. They even picked me up from the airport and took me to the train station. My stay was a pleasant one with many fond memories. Thank you Grant and Jeanette.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
