Garden Hostal de Julieta ... Nicaraguan family owns the casa and jardin (flower garden) ... the Jardin next door to the house has been converted into six very nice safaari like private sleeper rooms for guests, called Hotel Julieta. We call these little psuedo tree house like rooms or sleepers -- primitive luxury at cheap charlie prices. Guests don´t need air conditioning as the cool ocean and lake breezes are most adequate. Can easily sleep eleven adults) ... cold to luke warm water showers and plenty of fully tiled clean shared bathrooms and showers.
The Homestay casa is part of the Hotel Julieta and cimes complete with kitchen, moma as domestica and young son who acts as a house boy who runus errands for small tips. Plenty of solid security and good living condidtions. Moma provides cookiing lessons for a small fee and guests buy groceries to cook typical Nicaraguanese like; Vigoron, Nica Tacos, Indio Viejo, Gallo Pinto, Chalupas, Arroz con Leche and Ponche con Rum. Hotel staff provides a list of 24 things to fo while in Rivas ...... and many nore services, Nica style.
Big plus is our central location and assistance we provide regards finding the things you need to find and things you want to do. Activity orientated lodging or just a gret place to rrelax, chill out or write that book youhave been putting off doing for so long. Light brreakfast included but you can also learn how to cook Nica style, go dancing and a host of other activities are at your finger tips with hosts that are in the know.

About the Area
We are approximately 7 blocks -- Cuedras (100 meters or yards) from the central park or center of the town of Rivas. which is conveniently located about 25 km to the border with Costa Rica, 25 km to the beach at San Juan del Sur and 6 km from the ferry dock for Ometepe Island ferry boats. Also 2.5 hours drive to Managua, the capital, and 1.5 hour drive to Granada the classic late 1500s Spanish town along Lake Nicaragua. The Canal (now starting construction in Jan 2015) will be passing just a few km south of central Rivas. Rivas will become a boom town and center of international commerce and shipping by 2020.

No smoking in rooms but in designated are smoking is OK
Pay in advance
No Pets
Lightw out and gatr and exterior doors locked at 10 PM, however guests can stay out as late as they care and doors will be opened but staff must know that guests intend to stay out late and approximste return time. If returning after 10 PM please be very quiet as our guests are trekkers who ned their sllep as most arise at 6 AM to 7 AM and hit the road to their next adventure. Naturally, the same basic rules apply to the Himestay casa.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
