Lisbon is a city that has several charming neighborhoods where you can get lost. The neighborhood of Lapa is known for its mansions and embassies, because since its origin it has attracted the preferences of the nobility and upper class of Lisbon. But it is also an area that contains several points of interest, with plenty of things to do in Lapa in Lisbon.
Visit the majestic Palace of São Bento
Walk in Jardim da Estrela
Go to the viewpoint of the Basilica da Estrela
Eat the best steak in Lisbon at Café de São Bento
Have a meal to the sound of fado at Sr. Wine
Lapa is a residential area par excellence, but that doesn't mean it lacks active commerce. It is in this prime area of Lisbon that most of the embassies of foreign countries in Portugal are located.
And for the night you can choose from several bars:
La Esquina. At La Esquina, musical styles are varied: ranging from rock and jazz to Latin rhythms.

About the Area
Funkiest viewpoint of all , Santa Catarina , is for those who want to party with beer and tapas ( a modest € each at the small bar ) , one of Lisbon's most sympathetic with friendly Lisboners with musicians , nice aromas and on a hill where you can enjoy the atmosphere.
The view is not typical : open landscape in front of you , just across the harbor and beyond the Tagus , the lights of the bridge and two benevolent arms of Cristo -Rei .
Behind Camões , Rua do Loreto separates the Bairro Alto of Santa Catarina. Facing terrace , the river, and the 25 de Abril bridge there is a stone figure of Adamastor , a mythical sea monster of the epic " The Lusiads . " It also is a nice café where the locals go to enjoy the view of sunset or dawn on the Tagus .
