I live in a bright, airy top floor traditional tenement flat on the south side of Glasgow, with easy and fast transport links to the city centre. The double room is fully furnished and looks onto a large, leafy garden.

I rent one other room to a quiet, 30 year old male, and the flat has a light and peaceful feel to it. There is a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room and we have wifi.

Transport links-wise, the flat’s great – There are 2 train stations (Pollokshields west and Queens Park) with in 5 minutes walk, with frequent trains to the city centre in 6-7 minutes.

Bus services are at the end of the road and offer a very regular service to the City Centre. They also drop off outside a tube station (Bridge Street) and underground transport can also be accessed by a 20-30 minute walk. All motorways are accessible in just 10 minutes. Parking is on-street and not usually a problem.

Shopping-wise, there’s pretty much everything you need on the doorstep, with a great selection of supermarkets and cafes within a few hundred yards. The fabulous Burrell Collection, Pollok House, House for an Art Lover, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Scotland Street School Museum are also very nearby, as are large parklands if wishing to explore further.

Rachael is a very warm, generous, welcoming, and helpful hostess. Her spacious flat is conveniently close to two train stations. We would recommend Racheal's Homestay to anyone staying in Glasgow.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rachael's. My only regret is not having the chance to spend more time with my host, who was most welcoming and friendly. The flat and the room are very pleasant and clean, beautifully decorated and homely. The view from the room into the garden and adjoining buildings was lovely and peaceful. Thank you for being so welcoming Rachael!

I had a very spacious & comfortable stay at my host Rachael's clean & tidy home. She made me feel welcome & the location suited perfectly. Definitely recommend for anyone else looking to stay at a home stay.
