My family is me alone with my mature and "stay out of my way" cats. We are staying in this beautiful place with the most amazing views. The cows are on the doorstep and you can have "fresh milk" every morning. Stunning for bike rides, hiking and pure nature. Open skies with a telescope to watch the Milky Way and Lunar goes by. A huge braai area on an open stoep for summer dinners / al fresco and the stillness of LIfe.
I love to cook and try different recipes. I travelled to 27 countries and love each country's traditional meal. I put together any ingredients and try it. This usually goes along with lots of bravery and critics, but wine and laughter can change a lot of things.
My cats are Gypsey, the one on the main bed....He travelled with me basically through the whole of South Africa and stay with me in overnight destinations. He is the social one and knows everything about nature, people and me.
The old lady of the house is Rouge, a 8-year Ginger. Also did some travelling, but prefer to be on the patio couch in the sun or in front of the eating bowl. She is a watch on her own, because by half past four, she waits.
The lazy "not very clever" Old Soul is also a ginger. Found him on a farm deserted by the family and took him with to keep Gypsey busy. Well, that was the idea. His name is Warrior and he just sleeps.
We love drama movies, true events and court cases.
I did a law degree but decide that the food and clothes-world is much better and decide to go for that. I am also a qualified tour guide and i can show you more about this beautiful country and area.
We are looking forward to entertaining you on the patio with real South African BBQ and friends.

About the Area
My house is on a farm 5 kilos out of town. The town is a busy place but really country. We do have nice restaurants and coffee shops, but if you are looking for a mall then the closest big one is 80 kilos from here. That is also a nice ride to go to the sea at Mossel Bay.
The house on the farm has amazing views, stillness and lots of space. It is open and safe for cycling, hiking and picnics.
Riversdale do have tourist spots, small villages around that are creative, amusing and really lots of fun to visit. The people are friendly and helpful. Lots of "house parties with fires, laughter and fun".

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
