I live alone with 3 cats and have a very comfortable duplex with a huge terrace and a balcony, a lot of sun and light. And one of the highlights: just 12 min. from the center of Barcelona city!
I speak german, english, dutch, french (besides spanish and catalan).
I grew up in Holland and lived there during my first 19 years.

About the Area
Our house is located in the city of Barcelona in a quiet and safe place. I al 12 min. from the city center (when using underground) and about 30 min. drive from the airport.
The underground is just in front of my apartment and there are a lot of underground and bus options using these stops.
Close to my apartment is the Sagrada Familia.
Barcelona is full of trendy cafes, bars and restaurants as well as some nice fashion boutiques and specialist shops.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Please keep our home secure and double-lock the front door when entering and leaving the house.
Please do not adjust the heat settings yourself, ask me and I will happily do it for you.
Keep noise to a minimum after midnight please.
Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance.
Respect my cats as they are an important part of the household.
Laundry (not included in the price), it is possible but it has to be paid apart.
Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home!

Ich blieb drei Nächte bei Mari und ihren Katzen. Ich hätte es nicht besser haben können. Wir hatten uns auch gleich sehr gut verstanden und auch gute Gespräche geführt. Mari hat immer versucht meine Fragen bezüglich Barcelona zu beantworten. Wenn sie etwas nicht wusste, hat sie eine Freundin gefragt,
Mari war sehr hilfsbereit, rücksichtsvoll und diskret. Sie hat mir ein Frühstück zur Verfügung gestellt, das ich mir in der Früh selber machte. Sie hat mir auch einmal was Leckeres gekocht. Mari ist Vegetarierin und legt wert auf gesunde Lebensmittel. In diesem Punkt haben wir auch gut harmoniert.
Die Lage ist ruhig aber zentral. Bus, Metro, Geschäfte, - alles in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Ich hatte ein sehr bequemes Bett in dem ich gut schlief. Die große Dachterrasse ist einfach toll!
Mari ist Tierschützerin und hat vier ganz liebe Katzen. Besonders Marcello ist ein ganz Lieber!
Wenn ich wieder mal nach Barcelona komme, würde ich gern wieder bei Mari wohnen. Sie ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und ich kann sie nur weiterempfehlen!May 2024
Staying with Mari was a wonderful time. She is such an excellent host, and a very kind soul. Her place was very clean, and located just down the street from the train, which can take you all around Barcelona, and only a couple of stops from the Sagrada Familia! I especially loved meeting her rescue cats, who were just as sweet and welcoming as she is. Don't continue your search for a place to stay - with Mari is where you want to be. Thank you, Mari, for the splendid welcome :)

I couldn't have been happier with Mari. She makes you feel at home and the apartment has a very cozy atmosphere. Plus, the cats made our experience a hundred times better. If we ever go to Barcelona again, we'll stay with her and the kitties. 10/10

Marie est parfaite : accueil on n peut plus chaleureux - des chats mignons et parfois coquins. Vous pouvez utiliser la cuisine à votre convenance ... Franchement je recommande ...

Mari est une excellente hôtesse.
Nous avons été très bien accueillis, son appartement est très agréable.
L'appartement est très bien situé, juste en face d'une station de métro.
Mari donne des conseils de visites et a toujours un petit mot gentil.

Espectacular, una anfitriona increíble, si vais a Barcelona, os la recomendamos 100%, muy amable y pendiente de todo, que no nos faltara de nada y que estuviéramos siempre cómodos. siempre disponible por teléfono o whatsapp por cualquier motivo. una mujer increíble y que ama a los animales como ninguna otra que he conocido. I stayed with Mari for 2 nights on a brief stop in Barcelona and had an amazing experience! My train was delayed and she was kind enough to stay up waiting for me. She even reached out beforehand to ask what I liked for breakfast which was so thoughtful! The room was very nice and comfortable and the cats were definitely an added bonus! Her apartment is right by the metro which is super convenient for getting to the sights! She was so sweet to make me breakfast and gave me directions to getting to Cala Mila! If you’re traveling to Barcelona, I very highly recommend staying with Mari! Nothing but glowing reviews here!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
