About the Area

How to get
By car

There is a good network of motorways from different parts of the country, which means that accesses are generally very good.

In own vehicle the options from the center of Spain are two:
From Madrid taking the national IV (Andalusian motorway) to Seville, where we will take the A-49 (V Centenario motorway).

-The other option from Madrid is to take the N-V (Extremadura motorway) to Mérida, where in a short stretch to Zafra you will be driven by the national route 630 (silver route) from here take the N-435 to Huelva.

There is another option and is to continue along the silver route to Santa Olalla del Cala and from there take direction to the mountain village of Zufre and Riotinto, to link with Zalamea la Real with the N-435 and from here link to the n-478 Direction Calañas and four kilometers before reaching it you will find the entrance to Valle Granero where we are

From the Spanish uprising the option is to take the highway from 92 (A-92) to Seville.

From the Spanish north-west the fastest route is the "silver route" (N-630) to Zafra and then take the N-435.

If you are coming from Portugal, there are two roads, one for the new motorway linking Faro (capital of the Portuguese Algarve) with Huelva and Seville, crossing the Guadiana near Ayamonte by the international bridge and the other one descending from Rosal de La Frontera, for The A-493 and C-443 road to link in Gibraleón with the N-431 and reach Huelva.

The road network is in good general condition.

The Huelva road network relies heavily on the motorway to Seville which, from the Seville capital, links with the toll road to Cadiz and the motorways to the rest of the Andalusian capitals and Madrid. To the southeast, it joins with the Mediterranean motorway A-7 toll. To the southwest, the national road 431 leads to Ayamonte (62 km.), Which is the gateway to Portugal.

By plane:

The nearest airport is Seville, which is 95 kilometers away from the city of Huelva by road.
In addition, the tourist sites of the province of Huelva have been placed at very short distance from Faro airport. The capital of the Algarve is located only 50 kilometers from the provincial boundary of Huelva (Ayamonte).

By train:

From Madrid Atocha has a train leaving every weekend that stops at Calañas station where we are.

From Huelva, Calañas has a railway station that puts it in direct contact with Seville and Madrid. The regional line A-7 in the direction of Zafra is a wonderful journey that goes through places like El Corbujón with its pleasant deesas and followed for the most part by the Sierra de Picos de Aroche and Aracena.

Distances:
A Huelva 64 Km.
To Sevilla 94 km. I * A Cadiz 211 km.
A Córdoba 227 km. I * The Granada 333km.
A Jaén 321 km. I * A Almería 495 km.
A Málaga 291 km. I * A Badajoz 235 km.
A Cáceres 310 km. I * A Madrid 543 km.
A Lisboa 341 km.
