I wonder if it is due to the serene mornings before the world wakes up or the soft, cool wind, the strong stone wall that stands around me or the life of a growing garden. It could be the sea and mountain views or the hypnotic bird song, the red and orange sunrise, the blue sky at day or the nocturnal shining stars. Whatever the reason, This place makes me feel a profound sense of peace.

The house offers an open air experience to connect with nature without surrendering basic comforts such as a cozy bed and a simple bathroom and kitchen. My husband and I built these cabins with the intention of providing an intimate area where our guests can breathe in the sea breeze whilst they observe the serene views to the fields and sea by day, and stargaze with a bottle of wine at night. There is no need to worry about the “roof situation”, meaning there is not one (apart from the actual cabins where the beds are). It is typical for Canarians to have internal patios to make the most of the year round sunny skies. We highly value our natural surroundings so, of course, we strive to protect it. All our energy is solar and we are extremely conscious of our water usage. All the water used in the bathrooms and kitchens is collected and used to water the many plants on our plot. We are ideally located in the fields, yet close to northern towns and local sights such as The Cactus Garden and the Artisan Market. There are many natural swimming pools at a walking distance though if you prefer sandy beaches there is La Garrita a 5 min drive away. Here you will also find many bars and restaurants. So, our loction allows for a days exploration and the facility of an easy and relaxed drive back to your private corner of Lanzarote.
The area offered to the guest is completley private to them and is surrounded by a tall stone wall for privacy. Although please take into account that there are other guests and ourselves (or Minola our co-host) living on the same plot. Everyone has there own private space, kitchen and bathroom so if you don´t want to interact with anybody that is totally fine!
The booking must be paid for in full befor arrival via paypal or bank transfer. You can either pay for the entire stay in one isntalment or in two 50/50 instalments.

About the Area

Our place is located in the countryside, and is short walk away from the closest town (Charco del Palo) and the coast. We provide free and easily accesible parking. There is a gate allowing access into the fields to enable our guests to walk the shortcut into town where the spectacular coast offers many natural swimming pools and walks. We are able to facilitate information on such walks, as for any other information regarding Lanzarote.
We are idealy located for those who wish to discover places of interest all over the island and still enjoy the peaceful quiet of nature in the fields of Lanzarote.
The closest supermarket is 900m away in Charco del palo, the next closest one is in Arrieta 6KM away. Arrieta also has many restaurants offering fresh fish and La Garrita beach.
The next closest town to us is Mala, 2KM away. Here there is the nearest bus stop, a Farmacy, many restaurants, a church (la ermita de las mercedes) a childrens play park, and the recenly rennovated Centro de la Cochinilla.
El Jardín de Cactus (Cactus Garden) is in Guatiza, 3KM away.
Towards the north we can find La cueva de los verdes and Jameos del agua 10KM away, and still further north, 19KM away is Órzola where you can take the boat to La Graciosa. If you prefer to admire La Graciosa from above, then EL Mirador del Río is the place for you only 17KM away.
The Valley of a thousand palm trees, Haría, is 12KM away and is the home of the casa-museo de César Manrique and the saturday artesanal market
