We live in a 6 bed house set on top of a hill overlooking Kandy city which is about a 10-minute drive away.
The house itself is very spacious, with large living areas and kitchen and ample space for relaxing. It is ideal for those looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay close to the city. The house has a panoramic view of the Kandy city and the hills surrounding the valley. We also have a well-maintained garden where we grow a mix of flowering plants and seasonal vegetables.
I truly love cooking and entertaining. Since my children are now away from home I miss the all the baking I used to do around the house. So I'll be more than happy to provide a tasty treat from time to time.

A lovely house set in the hills above Kandy. The rooms booked were all advertised as en suite, but two shared a bathroom. The host changed our rooms which meant that the next guests expecting en suite rooms were turned away. Our host was friendly but seemed rather disorganised, preoccupied and inconsistent. For example, she commented on our last day that breakfast wasn't included but she did it for us as a favour. The top floor room has AC but there is an additional charge for it of which I was unaware. The blurb on the site suggests a willingness to provide food, but evening meals were exorbitantly expensive at Rs1500 for a vegetarian meal vs the Rs 300 we had paid elsewhere. Laundry means washing - it does not come back ironed.
With a few tweeks this could be an exceptional homestay, but overall we were rather disappointed.

Beautiful home with great views. Anoja and her family were so lovely and went out of her way to help us. The home cooked food was amazing

Overall good experience. A bit of a hike up to her place though so i recommend taking a tuk tuk. Facilities amd people at the house were great.

We had a wonderful stay with Anoja and her family in Kandy .Anoja is a sympathetic and warm host who wants to make the stay as comfortable as possible .The rooms are clean and well equipped, airy and comfortable.I would recommend the top room in the observatory, more expensive but worth it.
I would also recommend the food, traditional Sri Lankan cooking, with ingredients sourced on the day .Anojas husband made a special trip to source some prawns for out evening meal. The house is grand, spacious, and on a hill in a nice neighbourhood, with a spectacular view over Kandy. The garden is beautifully kept.Definately a 'high end' experince for a very reasonable price!August 2016
Great host and location, very comfortable and great value for money. A bit difficult to find after dark (even for experienced SL driver) so request clear explanations - but worthwhile once there.

We had a wonderful 2night stay with Anoja in Feb 2016. Very spacious clean room with lovely views. Breakfast was amazing too. Anoja couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.

I booked my homestay accommodation about 6 months ago. However on the day of arrival I found out my booked accommodation was not available due to a problem with the water supply. Our group of 6 people were relocated to another house which was of reasonable standard, but not as good as our prebooked accommodation. To her credit, the host agreed to reduce the price to compensate us for the inconvenience caused.

I had a wonderful 10 day stay at Anoja's homestay. She is an amazing host and guided me with all the places to visit. Although I was relaxing and was lazy she forced me to visit places and I had the pleasure of trying out some Sri Lankan cuisine at her place. She also accompanied me to a few places during her free time for which I am really grateful. The rooms were neat and clean. I look forward to visiting Anoja's homestay again. I had a pink room which was overlooking the scenic Kandy hills.

What an amazing house and the views, We felt as though we were at the top of the world. Although the host Anoja was not available her mother and her husband were so very warm and welcoming. We really were made to feel at home and even were allowed to chose the rooms of our choice in spite of what we had booked. Even the helpers in the house were so obliging. Every part of the house is extremely clean and the rooms were spacious too. The only regret we have is that we couldn't spend longer there. Can't wait to go there again. Such lovely people we have even invited them to our place if they come this way.

We were very happy to stay at Anoja's place. The view was great but a little bit of noise from the temple in the morning. (depends on the room though). Anoja is very helpful and thoughtful always listen to us to try to help and organize our plans in Kandy, she gave us the best plan during our stay. We couldn't do as many things as we had wished for without her suggestions. The food was delicious!! We certainly hope to be back!
