A 15 minute drive from Fort Portal town, nestled amongst 3 crater lakes overlooking the Rwenzori Mountains, this self-catering space, downstairs from my own living quarters, offers three quiet and spacious bedrooms, each with their own direct access to the grounds and a couple of small private verandas. The double bedroom is en-suite, while the king and twin rooms share a bathroom. The space offers a sitting/dining area and a simple, well-equipped kitchenette. Rooms are full of light, tastefully decorated, offer wonderful views and provide a comfortable, peaceful home away from home.
I do live at the property. The downstairs rooms, which are available to rent, have their own separate, sitting/dining/kitchenette space. My living space is upstairs.

About the Area
Our house is set in 5+ acres of beautiful farmland, 11kms from Fort Portal town. It's the perfect place to enjoy nature, bird watching, hikeing and crater lake swimming. There is also a labyrinth and a quiet garden in the compound for deeper contemplation and rest. Whether you need to recharge your batteries, want space to write or paint or simply fancy a weekend break, this space has what you need.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
The house is completely off-grid and relies on solar power. Use of a hairdryer, iron, toaster or electric kettle are STRICLY PROHIBITED as these will overload the system. If you need items ironed please ask and clothes washing can also be arranged for a small fee depending on the load.
This is a peaceful, rural location where quietude and the sounds of the natural world are valued. Please be mindful of such.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
