We live in a 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, detached house , 200 meters from the sea with a sandy beach, in a leafy Victorian street.
There is a 10 mile long, paved walking and biking path on the cliffs, along the seafront.
We are close to a selection of cafés, bars, restaurants, Dreamland (retro seaside fun-fair, disco on skates, ballroom, cinema and concert venue), art galleries including the Turner Contemporary built on the spot where the great artist lived and worked. Margate offers great entertainment for all. Shell Grotto, Margate Caves, regular concerts, night life and family activities are among them.
Dickens' House Museum is 4 miles away. Canterbury with it's rich history is only 16 miles away.
We can offer a family room with 2 double and 1 single beds, with en-suite shower room and a kitchenette.
We also offer 2 twin rooms with a shared bathroom,1 further double room, another family room with king size and single beds, and an en-suite toilet and sink,
and off street parking.

About the Area
Our house is located in a quiet leafy Victorian street, 200 meters to sandy beaches and the sea. We are 1 mile away from Margate railway station. There is a bus stop for the National Express Coach to London Victoria 3 minutes walk away.
There are 3 theatres, trendy cafés, restaurants, the mysterious Shell Grotto and The Turner Contemporary Art gallery close by. The retro Theme Park 'Dreamland' is very popular with both young and old.
There is, built into the sea, a swimming pool which holds the sea water even when the tide is out, so you can swim at any time.
There is bus service called the "loop" which gives access to a wide area of Thanet, including Margate town centre, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood Shopping Centre. There is a good bus service to Canterbury.

The beach is so close and lots of sand finds it's way inside, we have 'no outside shoes in the house' policy. Please bring your indoor soft footwear, eg slippers.
We can offer cleaning your room on request with extra charge.
Please note that the price per night, shown in the listing, is based on the stay of minimum 2 nights and longer.
During the Soul Music Festival on the first weekend of August, the price per room rises (please check); and the minimum stay is 3 nights for the time of the festival. 2 night minimum stay in any other time of the year.
Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.

Grazyna is very welcoming and accommodating, and their home is in a great location. Merely a half block from the coastal walks and very easy to get to the local bus stop. The bathroom is shared but I never found it an issue, as everyone who stayed was respectful of this shared space. This was a great place for writing and I had an effortless stay. Thank you so much!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
