We are a busy family, with 4 children, 5 horses and a dog! We love riding, walking and enjoying the great outdoors, right on our doorstep.
Our house is in the tiny village of Miserden (seen as the setting of BBC's recent adaptation of Cider with Rosie) in the heart of the cotswolds, with a shop, a church and a great pub. Very limited public transport! We have 2 spare bedrooms, a double with an extra single bed and a twin room so can sleep up to 5. You would also have use of our drawing room with its open fire and grand piano. Self catering is not an option as our kitchen is too full (!) but the local pub does great food and there are plenty of other options around.

About the Area
Our house is in the middle of a tiny village with beautiful views out over the parkland. There is a church, garden nursery and the stunning gardens of Misarden Park to visit while you are here or take a walk through the countryside. Finish with lunch, a cream tea or supper in the local pub. Nearby are the market towns of Stroud and Cirencester, the shops and restaurants of Cheltenham and Gloucester and the North Cotswold villages to tour. Mainline stations are only a 20 minute taxi ride away.

This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.

We loved the hosts and the house, as well as the surroundings and the town. So we were very positive about: the house, the view, the gardens, the hosts (Billy, her husband and her father), the town, the pub in town, the location. Only drawbacks were the bathroom (too old and inconvenient shower/bath, toilet flushed sometimes and sometimes not) and the window of the room that couldn't be openend. Would love to stay there again if window and bathroom would be fixed.

Lovely quiet village. Welcoming to dogs. Nice friendly family. Plentiful breakfast of toast and cereal at kitchen table with spectacular view. Accidentally double booked so 3 of us squeezed into child's bedroom but good nights sleep at a discount so all good

Really fabulous host, where nothing was too much trouble.
Definitely recommended for being in the heart of the countryside with absolutely amazing views on that alone
