Our home is 1 mile away from central York and is in the Fulford area. Our interests range from television to science. We have 1 double bedroom available with Hair-dryer, Closet / Wardrobe, and Mirror.
I have a small and very friendly dog, he gets excited to see people when they arrive but once over the excitement he will leave you alone as he mostly likes to sleep and go for walks.

There is no better way to learn a foreign language than to speak it in everyday situations. Your host Kate offers qualified language instruction in her native language English. One hour of instruction costs 35.00 GBP. The classes will be given by the host himself at the accommodation.

Please keep our home secure and double-lock the front door when entering and leaving the house.
The main thing is to remember that this isn't a hotel, it's my home and so please leave things clean & tidy and be respectful.
Please do not adjust the heat settings yourself, ask me and I will happily do it for you
No smoking anywhere in the house.
We have a dog, if you don't like this then this isn't the place for you, he is a family member and will be here at all times.
Keep noise to a minimum after 11pm please, I do work and need to be up early.
Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance
Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home!
If you use the kitchen, please leave it as you find it, we like it clean and tidy at all times.
Please use the bathroom with respect for others using it and leave it clean and tidy, this isn't a hotel, it's our home :)

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
