239 is Located in safe East Asheville... We live in a quiet, private setting amongst the woods of the 18th hole on a 100 year old Golf Course built in 1920 by Donald Ross...
We thrive on an acre of lush gardens and woods and your private space has your own
patio... We probably use the A/C no more than a dozen nights... if it snows, it very rarely lasts through the next day. One can Golf almost every day.

About the Area
We are 15 minutes from Biltmore, 1 hour from the Great Smokey Mtn National Park, Mt Wilson (highest peak in the East - 6,000 ft), Dollywood Amusement Park, and Harrah's Casino, and the entrance to the Blue Ridge parkway is 1 mile away... There are many free put-ins for local kayaking on the lazy French Broad River by the Appalachian Trail... We are 2 hours from the best ski area in NC near Boone, NC at Beech Mtn, Grandfather Mtn, and great kayaking on the New River that flows North to the Ohio River... Nightlife in Asheville is eclectic, to say the least, and there are over 25 Craft Brewers, many with entertainment.
Schools in Asheville regarded as Top College prep and the University of NC Asheville is 15 minutes away that has many Senior Classes and Seminars... We have a top Minor League Baseball Team and a new Stadium with free parking... If you enjoy day hiking or multi night sojourns, there are hundreds of miles of Trails that offer free camping and there are numerous RV camping sites in Western NC, Tennessee, and Virginia (all within 2 hours)
Family activities include: Biltmore Resort, the Nantahala Outdoor Center, the Folk Arts District, numerous Parks along the French Broad River, and Skiing at Maggie Valley... On your way to the Hot Springs Spa (50 min), stop at the Marshall Craft Center (30 min)... The Black Mtn Craft Center (20 min) is worth the trip, especially for Lunch...
Our Home is Handicap Accessible, without steps, and has a drive-in Shower for a wheel chair... Our area is safe and friendly for walking and taking hikes and a picnic enjoying the views along the Blue Ridge Parkway... We are retired and travel occasionally so there will be short periods when you will be the sole occupant(s)...
DOG FRIENDLY: If you are planning on bringing your dog please let us know! There will be a $25.00 fee for the first night ($10.00 any night after that.) We will send you a request for a "Change Reservation" that will reflect the Pet Fee... We request that if you are bringing your dog that you not leave it at the house when you are not at home... We have separate bedding for dog guests. Your Pet Fee includes that ALL bedding and linens are washed after each guest - any dog hair will be vacuumed completely after you leave in prep for the next guest... 1 Dog is preferred but is negotiable depending on size and type - we have two friendly. loving dogs and they would share our securely fenced front yard dog run.
Our House is considered a shared, "self-service" rental property with all utilities provided in our fee and we offer private Climate Control... We provide linens, towels and an ample amount of paper products (napkins, TP, paper towels). You will have your own refrigerator, coffee maker, and small oven... Joint Family meals are fine (negotiable) to be shared with the right people and a Continental Breakfast is available when we are in town... You must wash your own dishes in our shared sink or use the dishwasher... we have a large front deck with a wood burning fireplace usually burned at cocktail hour on nice days. Your personal patio is secluded and in full shade in the Summer with full privacy Hot Tubbing and burning wood (provided) in your fire pit.
Your space has a high quality Queen mattress with memory foam... A king size Couch is suitable for sleeping and Air mattresses are available for Children... You have a Work Table for two computers using WiFi high-speed internet, and there is a Dining Table that seats eight... There is a full dresser and hanging clothes closet... A gas fireplace is yours for enjoyment when not sleeping ... You have a 50" Smart TV fed by Dish Satellite with Movie Channels and Sirus Radio with surround sound... The ceiling fan has smart dimmable lights that serve as a night light... the bath is handicap accessible with a drive-in shower and a skylight over your private toilet... Your Studio Apartment faces Southeast so the morning Sun rises early over the Mountains providing a pleasant breakfast spot... Come share our Home and enjoy wonderful Asheville.

Note: If you are interested in a long term stay, we will allow you to test drive our place for 3 nights @$48/night if someone has not not pre-booked the space... otherwise a month is $1,000 with all utilities, high speed Internet, and HD Dish Sattelite with Movie Channels... give us a Holler if you want to talk about our space...

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
