We are in a beautiful, peaceful little neighborhood just outside of Boone, with quick access into town. We are also very close to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, and all the hiking and skiing in the area. This area is famous for it's beautiful panoramic mountain range views and all kinds of outdoor activities in every season.
My son, our feline pal, and I love meeting new people and introducing visitors to our beautiful area. We home school and are in and out a lot, always on adventures, climbing, field tripping, and hiking.
Parking is included and available in garage (which you'll want in the winter!) or behind our home for convenience.
You'll have a bedroom and bathroom virtually all to yourself with a view of the sweet pond and a mountain to wake up to every morning. The bed is a very comfortable, almost new futon. This home is warm and cozy in the winters here. If you want a family friendly, yet fairly quiet and private environment, you'll love staying here.
You're welcome to hang out with us in the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas on the first floor. There is a Keurig for coffee, a teapot for hot water (I love hot tea!), and of course a fridge, microwave, and other kitchen amenities.

About the Area
We are in a quiet community with some little ponds and a perfect mountain view. The leaves change to vibrant colors in the fall, and we get just enough snow to play in during the winter. Spring and summer are perfect temperatures for being outdoors.
Downtown Boone is a must-see place, as well as Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The shopping and dining are incredible. You'll find all kinds of locally made foods and restaurants specializing in healthy, natural meals.
The AppalCart runs around Boone and although it doesn't come up as far as our home, is very useful for getting around within Boone.
Parking is fairly easy to find in downtown Boone. Metered parking is available, and is free in the evenings and on Sundays. There is parallel parking on King Street, and more parking on Queen Street one block up.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
