I had a very good time at Angel’s. She has a very nice family, they were very friendly taking me out for dinner, she took me also to meet her church. When I first came, she took me to walk around to check the neighborhood and explained how to get in the busses lines. I feel glad I had choose to stay at her house. She did everything she could to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you very much Angel!!

Angel as a person was very nice!
Unfortunately my experience didn't go as well as i would have liked. Primarily because of old house, crowded place and bit noisy.July 2019
Angela was great and very accommodating. The house was clean and had everything you needed to stay a week, cook and be at home. The downfall was that you couldn't lock your room and keep your possessions secure or safe, and that really didnt feel good as there were others staying there who could just walk in at anytime. Also, watch out during hot months, no AC and it's on the 3rd floor.

Had a great stay with Angela.
It was 40 min away from downtown Boston using public transport. With Uber to the main attractions in Boston was never more than 15 USD.September 2018
I think Angel is an Angel, not just by name ...I had the best time, beyond what I imagined/expected, with her lovely family.

Angel was kind enough to show me to the local bus stop and take aways. She very kindly invited me along to church with her and as a Christian I really appreciate this. She also cooked a traditional Jamaican breakfast on the Sunday morning, which was the only morning I was offered breakfast.
I do not recall reading on Angel's profile that they are a Jamaican family so was not expecting this. My intention was to stay with an American family and to experience that way of life. Making it clear on the profile would be a good idea.
However, it should be noted that I did not feel safe in the area although there were police everywhere I went. The neighbours stay up late and are quite noisey so is not good for those wanting to go to bed early. Some information on the area is advisable so that guests can make an informed choice.
The bed was very uncomfortable and needs a new mattress which added to me not getting a good night's sleep. And in addition the light in the bedroom is not working and I did not get the chance to inform Angel.
This was my first Homestay and was quite an experience.August 2017
