I live in the charming mountain town of Brevard, North Carolina. Brevard is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by lush, green forests and sparkling rivers and lakes. My scenic town is famous for the 100+ waterfalls, as well as hiking, camping, fishing and mountain biking. Music and art also have a strong presence here, with musicians coming from all over the world to perform at the Brevard Music Center. There are many lovely shops and restaurants in town, which complements the small town atmosphere. In addition, the larger city of Asheville is only 30 minutes way.
I am a recent empty-nester and would like to host female guests only. My house has an upstairs level and a downstairs level. Guest accommodations would be on the lower level, which is quite large with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and private outdoor deck. The guest bedroom has a bed, desk, bookcase and closet. The living room has a large sofa, chair, bookcases and television. There is a large private bathroom. The kitchen and laundry are located on the main level, and are available for guest use.
I am an avid tennis player and play on competitive teams. I also hike a great deal. I also enjoy painting and crafting. I work full-time, but love to be home whenever possible. Guests would be most welcome to join in any of my activities.

About the Area
My house is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, just 1.5 miles east of downtown Brevard. I live less than 5 minutes from Pisgah Forest and about 15 minutes from DuPont State Forest. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, parks, doctor's offices, restaurants and shops within walking distance or a short drive.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Female guests preferred.
Prior to arrival, full payment must be made through PayPal.
Pets are not allowed.
Guests are expected to clean up after themselves.
Outside visitors are not allowed in the home without prior approval from host.
Alcohol or drugs are not allowed.
Quiet will be observed every evening at 10:30 PM.
Small gatherings are permitted only with approval from the host.
Cancelation Policy: If cancelation occurs at least 14 days before check-in, the Guest will receive a full refund. If cancelation occurs 7 to 14 days before check-in, the Guest will receive 50% refund. If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before check-in, the Guest will be charged 100% for the full reservation.
Professional cleaning fee is $60.
A damage deposit of $200 is due at the time of rental, but will be returned to guest at the end of stay if no damages have been incurred.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
