Our home stay is a six bedroom home located in Everett, which is less than 5 miles from downtown Boston.
We have raised our children in our home and now we are empty nesters.
We have been hosting students for the past 7 years. We have hosted from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Chile, Japan, China and many other countries. We have loved the experience and have kept in touch with many of our past students/professionals.

About the Area
Our home is located on a quiet tree lined street.
The 111 bus to Haymarket Train Station (Orange line) is a 5 minute walk.
The new Silver Line, which will bring you to the airport, financial district and South Station recently opened. That is less than a 10 minute walk.
Stop and Shop is around the corner from our home.
There is a Chinese restaurant and various fast food restaurants around the corner as well.
The newly opened Wynn Boston Casino is about a mile from our home. Shuttles to bring you there are within walking distance.

The basement apartment is nice and large, the bed is really comfortable and it is good to have a private door for coming and going. On the downside the basement/house door is locked so if you do want to access the kitchen you have to knock to be 'let in', we were only given breakfast on the first morning out of three and the hot water tank for the whole house is situated about 3 feet from the bed and is unacceptably loud at sporadic intervals (eg, 3am, 6am, 7am). However, it is a good affordable base for visiting Boston and the hosts were friendly.

Kathy and her husband are really sweet! They were both really helpful, my girlfriend had just had her luggage lost by the airline (Iceland air if you're curious, terrible customer service from those guys until we wrote them on.... facebook!) and they offered to give us a lift to the airport anytime we'd need to. The room was really nice (we got the twin in the basement), cheap, well heated, super comfy bed, you get your own key for the back door, some muffins, your own fridge, coffee machine.... it was perfect! (made my gf forget that she had no stuff!) I would recomment to anyone! Thanks again guys!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
