Our family has been hosting students and families for over 10 years now. We currently have a single bedroom available. There’s a guest bathroom (not private) with a tub and shower. Bedroom has a double size bed, dresser, TV, DVD player, nightstand and a fish tank. If you like the sound of water, it’s very relaxing. A ceiling fan and central air conditioner. There is also a large closet with shelves for shoes and storage.
Your pet and/or service animal is welcome, so long as you clean up after him/her. A large backyard is also available for your pet to run and play along with our dogs too. You will be responsible for any damages made by your pet while staying in our guest room.
We work out of our home and available as needed. Our home is cosy and quiet the majority of the time. It is also secured by 24 hour surveillance cameras, inside and out.
You’ll have full use and access to the kitchen area. There’s a Keurig Coffee Maker, Microwave, Blender, Etc. Feel free to cook a hot meal and store food and beverages in the refrigerators for later use or that night time snack. Just cleanup after yourself when you’re done cooking (stove, counter, pots and pans) or eating (plates, cups, silverware and tabletop). Cleanliness is a plus. Filthiness is prohibited.
BONUS: If you enjoy playing piano, you’re more than welcome to use ours. It’s a fully weighted, 88 key, Williams Rhapsody 2 Digital Console Piano.

About Us:
We are a very reliable, self-employed, Christian family. We work out of our home to allow us to spend more quality time with each other and to be able to interact with our students and guests even more. There is never a dull moment in our home. We have had some great students and we truly enjoy having them here as part of our family. Its a wonderful feeling to know that we make a difference in their lives as we are sure that we will make a difference in yours too.
Transportation:
Our family can also assist in providing transportation to and from your school or job for a daily fee, depending on the distance.
Homestay Fee:
Your full reservation rent is due immediately upon arrival via Zelle or Cash only. You may also send payment in advance if preferred. After those dates have expired, unless otherwise noted, the room becomes available to other homestay guests.
Deposit Required:
A NON-refundable deposit of $200. is required to reserve and hold the room for the date(s) you’ve requested. You will NOT get this NON-refundable deposit back and it will NOT go towards your rent. It secures the room for YOU and only you so that no one else can move in while in HOLD status. No exceptions!

Additional Info
A refrigerator is also provided for our guests to share. It can be used to store your groceries, snacks and/or left overs if needed.

About the Area
Our home is 20 minutes for downtown Houston and the University of Houston downtown campus. We are 20 minutes from the Medical Center and 20 - 30 minutes from other major colleges and Universities.
There is bus services just two blocks from our home. We are 10 minutes from Hobby Airport and 35 minutes from Intercontinental Airport..

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Guests are responsible for the upkeep of the room rented, bathroom and tub/shower after each use, kitchen and dining area after each use. Guest is responsible for his/her own pets and their upkeep. No drugs, smoking, or loud music allowed. Respect our neighbors. House is fenced through out the property and MUST be kept closed and locked at all times for security/safety purposes. Treat and Respect our home as if it were your own. Friends allowed but no overnight stays.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
