Our home is on the Roanoak Sound on an Island called "Pond Island" that is on the causeway a mile and a half from the beach, halfway between Jennett's Pier at the Beach in Nags Head, NC, and Pirates Cove which is on Roanoke Island.
We have 4 levels with the 3rd level having 3 bedrooms each with a full bathroom, that we rent out. We live on the 2nd level. The top level is a giant open room that is a Kitchen, living, dining etc. with a 360-degree view of the water. There is also an additional half bath near the common area.
Yes, we have an elevator for use by those who need it. There are 6 decks on the house and a dock. We have 3 tandem Kayaks and a single for use at no cost. If you have a boat, you can launch it a mile or so away, or keep it at the dock. The beach is just a mile and a half away with lots of free parking, paved lots, fresh water to rinse off etc.

About the Area
We are located on an Island that is on the sound side, a mile and a half from the beach.
We are near Kitty Hawk national monument, Jockey Ridge State Park, and Near Lost Colony National Park on Roanoke Island. Near Manteo and Wanchese on Roanoke Island and Festival Park. All these are within 15 minutes of our home. Also Jennette's pier, and Nags Head Fishing pier that has Fish Head's restaurant 3 miles down the beach. The four best nicer fresh seafood restaurants in our area are less than a mile away. Many other great restaurants near.

House Rules
We practice everyone cleaning up after themselves and normal consideration that if someone else comes into the common area after you have departed, they get the same nice clean experience you had when you arrived. You can smoke anywhere outside or on the decks with consideration of any others that may be near. Each bedroom has a keypad lock and it is easy for you to come and go anytime without disturbing anyone else. You may or may not see any other guests for a day or many days, but there is also lots of space and two dining tables on the top floor if you happen to be eating at the same time.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
