Smart single bedroom located on the second floor, with sole use of a bathroom on the floor below. Experienced, sociable and welcoming host in Zone 3, Muswell Hill, North London. My home, situated in a quiet residential road, is a modern, well maintained, clean and comfortable 4 bedroom Town house with high speed Wi-Fi throughout and a beautiful south facing garden.
Breakfast is simple and consists of an assortment of cereals, toast and a selection Jam, marmalade, etc. In March 2013 Muswell Hill was named as one of the five most desirable places to live in London by The Sunday Times, it offers a variety of good restaurants, pubs, delis, lovely shops, cinema and is close to Alexandra Palace and Park with its numerous concerts and events.
The journey into central London is either via the 234 bus from the end of the road to East Finchley Underground Station (zone 3) on the Northern line, or nearby the 43 or 134 buses goes to Highgate Underground Station (Zone 3) Northern Line, or if you have time, stay on it and enjoy the sites into the City or West End. The 43 & 134 buses run 24 hours per day. Smoking is not permitted in the house, but, you are very welcome to smoke in the garden.
Minimum of two nights, maximum three months.
Meals are not provided, but you are welcome to use my crockery/cutlery and eat in the kitchen if you are having the occasional take - away or microwave meal in the evening, you are also able to help yourself to tea and coffee in the kitchen.
A little about myself, I was born on the South Coast of England, but have lived in London for over 40 years in various areas, Marble Arch, Holland Park, Wimbledon and now Muswell Hill. I have most enjoyed living in Muswell Hill, North London as it offers the best of London, a beautiful, Edwardian suburb with a good range of facilities, with an easy journey into the hustle and bustle of central London. I know London and Muswell Hill well and enjoy sharing my knowledge and advising guests on travelling, places to visit. I enjoy going to restaurants, theatre, cinema, socialising, visiting historical places and travelling both in the UK and abroad. I have two daughters aged 25 & 23, both of whom have recently graduated, one of them has now returned to live at home. I have been hosting people of all ages from both the UK and overseas for almost 4 years and very much enjoy meeting people from a variety of different cultures and countries and seek to give a comfortable, welcoming environment where my visitors are free to come and go as they please.

My stay at Helen´s house was really pleasant. Helen is a nice host and always made me feel like at home. She adviced me on what places should I visit in London and how to get around. Also muswell hill is a nice and quite area to stay, full of green zones but quite lively if you want to dine out.
I highly recommend Helen´s house if you want stay in London for a while.
