Welcome to Grandma's Stuuv!
The house was built in the typical Osfriesichen Fehnhaus style. It is in a quiet residential area. The apartment is comfortably furnished with natural wood furniture.
The private area is on the ground floor.
The guest rooms are located on the upper floor and can be reached through a separate entrance.
The guest room "Vörkamer" has two separate beds and a wardrobe.
Living area, kitchenette and bathroom/toilet are shared by other guests.
In the living area there are seating and space for exchange. TV, radio, literature and games are available. There is also free internet.
In the tea kitchen, dishes, glasses and kitchen utensils as well as a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle are available.
The shared bathroom has 2 sinks, toilet and shower. Towels and bed linen are provided.
On request, I can prepare a healthy breakfast with fresh local produce.
They then have breakfast on the ground floor in the private area either in the dining room or in the large kitchen. On request, I would be happy to cook small dishes from the local kitchen for you.
In the garden you can unwind. The garden hut and various seating areas offer space to linger. My garden is one of my hobbies. A vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes and a small greenhouse ensure healthy fruit and vegetables. There is a lot to do in summer. That's why you'll often find me gardening.
As I am at home most of the time, I am happy to personally greet you and show you around the house and garden. I am happy to pass on information about the area and ideas for leisure activities.
Another hobby is my job as a tour guide. I am happy to pass on my interest in local culture and history to my guests..

About the Area
The house is in a quiet settlement. The village has about 800 inhabitants. It is about 15 km to the district town. The A 31 motorway is about 2 km away. It is approx. 6 km to the Dutch border. The nearest bus stop is about a 5-minute walk away. On site there are shops for daily needs.
The area is agricultural. It is about 100 km to the North Sea. The islands are easy to reach from here.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
