We are a family of 4 with our 2 adult children away travelling. We also have Khobi our large and active 2 yr old collie dog, living in a quiet cul-de-sac close to Luas , bus, shops and Dundrum Town Centre. We have other guests staying on occasion.
We are a friendly and sociable family, all working various time schedules, and flexible to allow guests to come and go at their leisure.
We do not provide breakfast or meals but guests are free to use the kitchen and use of utensils to cook for themselves. There will be a shared use of fridge/freezer with other guest and own cupboard to store dry items.
Use of wahsing machine and dryer available and wifi included as well as other utilities are covered in rent.

About the Area
our house is located in South Co Dublin, in a quiet cul-de-sac, ideally located and convenient to Dundrum Town Centre, Leopardstown RAcebourse, UCD college, Trinity College, Sandyford/Stilorgan Industrial Estate, and local shops. Main local transport is the Luas with 3 stops within 5 min walking and bus stop 5 mins.
Views of the mountains on the doorstop with local walks only 5 mins away where the views across Dublin are breathtaking. 15 min drive to the sea for those who love sea swimming.

House Rules
No other guests permitted in room other than main guest
Smoking not permitted inside our home however we have a large quirky man shed outside where it is permitted.
We would ask you to hoover and clean your own bedroom on a weekly basis as well as bathroom, on a rota basis with any other guest that may be staying on a long term basis.
Otherwise we have no rules except we would ask you to treat our home as you would your own and keep it clean and tidy.

Quiet area, the luas stop is very near the house and it only takes 30 minutes to arrive at St. Stephen's Green. Besides, the family is lovely. I had a very nice stay!

Sharon and her husband Gary were very nice and supportive, the room was really good and the neighbourhood was also quiet! So I have had an excellent stay in their house, I recommend it very much .

Sharon et sa famille sont des hôtes incroyables. J’ai passé un merveilleux séjour dans une chambre tous juste remise a jour.
Ils m’ont donnés des conseils tous le long du séjour, mon laisser mon indépendance complète (j’avais un libre d’accès à tout heure).
Mon université était à 1h30-2h de transport mais Gary, le père me ramenait tous les matins (travaillant à côté de mon université). Sharon m’a plusieurs fois accompagné en voiture lors de trajet pour la navette à l’aéroport, pour des courses ou encore pour m’accompagner à l’arrêt de tram.
Quartier calme, 10mn pour rejoindre le tram, 15mn pour un magasin de nourriture tabac ou encore pizzeria. Une quarantaine de minutes en tram pour rejoindre Temple Bar.
Koby, le chien, est incroyable, il aboie souvent au début mais des qu’il vous connaît il est adorable, il adore jouer, se mets à côté de vous quand vous faites à manger ou que vous regardez un film dans le salon.
Je vous recommande fortement cette famille !
Je vous conseille cependant de vérifier la localisation avec votre travail ou école pour ne pas avoir les mêmes problèmes que j’ai pu avoir.August 2023

How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
