Irene was very kind to pick me up from the local train station the night I arrived. She’d also left some cookies and water for me which was nice after flying in when everything is closed.
The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and the room was comfortable, with no street noise.
What I found awkward is she made it very clear that all I was to use was my room and bathroom and no other part of the house. She even has a microwave in this bedroom, which I found a bit odd.
So it’s ok if all you’re going to use it for is sleep and be out the rest of the time. I couldn’t even make myself a morning coffee there, which felt awkward and uncomfortable.
The bathroom has no shower (just a hand shower in a tub, with no shower cradle) so you’ll be washing yourself in a tub with one hand. That I did not like at all.
I also found it quite far from Milan: you have to take a bus to the metro so it becomes an hour trek.
But hey, it was cheap.Host reply
