Hello Travellers, I am Rowena from the U.K.
My lovely apartment is in beautiful Belem, right next to the Presidential Palace and also walking distance from all the attractions of Belem including the Jerónimos Monastery, Pastéis de Belém, Maat Museum and Belem Tower to name a few.
You are only 6 mins walk from the river, and nearby trams/train/bus will get you into Lisbon in about 15 minutes. Or if you plan to visit Sintra you are also in a great place to get there from here.
Your room has a double bed with private bathroom and use of the kitchen, lounge and great outdoor space in the back garden. Smoking is possible in the garden.
There are many restaurants and cafes nearby & an Auchan supermarket.
I also have pets in my home from time to time as I take care of dogs and cats but only one at a time!

About the Area
The apartment is ground floor and located 6 mins walk from the river, and in walking distance of all Belem attractions. There are numerous public transport links nearby, getting into Lisbon is easy and there are also links to the train to Sintra. There is an Auchan supermarket 6 minutes walk from the apartment. Belem is a beautiful area and has many attractions to visit.

House Rules
Hello I am an easy going host, I just ask that all areas are kept clean and used with respect.
I would like check out time before 10:30 unless I don't have another guest arriving we can arrange later check out.
Check in time is usually any time after 2pm, or bags can be left earlier that's no problem.
Use of the washing machine is 3 euros.
Any breakages or loss of keys must be paid for.
Full use of kitchen as long as all items are used with respect.
BBQ can be used outside if you would like to contribute to the coal.
Guests can smoke in the garden if they wish.
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.

Majoitus oli hyvällä paikalla, rennon rauhallisessa Belemissä, josta hyvät kulkuyhteydet keskustaan. Paljon ravintoloita lähellä. Rowena antoi paljon vinkkejä meille sopivista vierailukohteista, ravintoloista yms. Huone oli pienehkö, mutta kaikki tarvittava löytyi (= oma kylpyhuone, keittiö käytettävissä, pieni puutarha). Puhdasta ja siistiä. Puutarhassa oli kiva nauttia aamiaista. Rowena oli rento, auttavainen ja ystävällinen emäntä, jonka kanssa oli helppo tulla toimeen

Our stay with Rowena was exactly what I hoped for. At the beginning of my stay I was in a hotel, but for the second half I wanted to explore the area and learn about life as lived by locals. Rowena was very helpful with both. The room was clean and comfortable. If I am ever lucky enough to go back to Lisbon, I hope to stay with Rowena again.

Very good welcome from Rowena in Lisboa!! her appartment is tastefully decorated and clean; may be a little bit small for us but Rowena knows how to be discreet.

We really enjoyed our time with Rowena. She is very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom is small but very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom has an amazing shower. The location is great, a local neighborhood with good, cheap transport links to the centre and other areas around Lisbon. We would recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay with Rowena. We only needed a place to squeeze in a short sleep before we left for an early morning flight. The Belem location was perfect with the palace down the street, the famous Portuguese tarts around the corner and down the street, just before the monastery. We were able to easily tour around and discover Belem.
Rowena made us feel comfortable and right at home.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
