WELLCOME HOME YOUNG AND ADULT STUDENTS. Come home and share your life with international students. BED&BREAKFAST. I live with Lola, my pet. I have been receiving students from all countries for 15 years now. There are 1 or 2 students at home and me. Maximum 3 students. I often see teachers or people my age who are now studying Spanish. The apartment is close to the city center, next to Ruzafa and Ciudad de Ciencias; very well connected. The house has 4 bedrooms, lots of light, gardens, shops and terraces. There are 2 bathrooms, one full shared; shared living area. I have Wi-Fi throughout the house and a comfortable environment.
I stay at home so I use to do every homework in the flat. I do your laundry: personal clothes, your towels and your bedclothes once a week.
I am at home and I am dedicated to taking care of the maintenance of the entire apartment. I love receiving students of all ages, from young people, professionals and also people my age, already retired who are interested in studying Spanish or simply spending a few days of rest in Valencia. Also for several months a year. I like to help learn Spanish. Sometimes you come to do an internship in a company. I offer a continental breakfast in the morning. About the Area
My house is situated in a central district of the city and has buses on the road to take you anywhere. Cerquita are the Turia Gardens and the City of Arts and Sciences; the center is about 20 minutes walk. The neighborhood is very nice, has all kinds of shops and supermarkets, and we have many restaurants, cafes, pubs and very social areas concurridas.L Beach is 20 minutes by bus and it gets right under the house. There are also bike stations (Valenbisi) moved away if you prefer them around town. People living in cas, all agree that it is a great area.

House Rules
The house is non-smoking and non-alcoholic. The rules are always those of maximum courtesy and camaraderie, it is about living in a great atmosphere and that we all feel at home.
The maximum norm of coexistence is respect for the other companions in the house and maintaining a patient attitude since coexistence entails a predisposition to dialogue and to think that we are a family and we organize ourselves very well. We can't receive boyfriends and girlfriends at home, we don't fit... it's important that you know. It is of the utmost importance that you respect the No Alcohol issue: YOU CANNOT BRING ALCOHOL HOME and, in the case of going out to a party, which is very normal on weekends, be very careful not to arrive home drunk, as it causes many bothers everyone else and creates a lot of problems.

Loved staying with Mercedes, she is very social and tries hard to please. It was super hot in Valencia and her home doesn't have AC but we managed by going to the beach a couple of times only a short 20 city bus ride away. She was helpful in telling us about thing to do and see.

Mercedes me recibio muy bien y tuve tambien una buena estadia en su casa. Me encanto estar donde ella para empezar mi jornada en Valencia. La habitación y el alojamiento fueron muy agradables. Está en muy buena situación geográfica. Sin duda recomiendo a 100%!

I very much enjoyed and felt at home during my stay with Mercedes!
The flat is kept clean, everything functions well and she also adapted the breakfast to my dietary needs without any issues.

I stayed with Merche for three months whilst I was on Erasmus in Valencia. My experience there couldn't have been better. Merche really made me feel at home. She is an incredibly warm person, always making an effort to make sure I was comfortable, and would always be there if you wanted someone to talk to. My flatmates, Merche and I would often sit together at dinner and chat together, so it was great for my Spanish, and felt very much like a small family. On top of that, the flat is always spotless, very tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend that you stay here!

Mercedes is a lovely lady, so kind and caring, and welcomes everyone into her house with an open heart. She has a cute dog Lola, and her house is beautifully decorated with furniture and pictures. Mercedes is always there for you to practise your Spanish, she has a lot to say and a lot of knowledge which is very interesting. There are always a few other students staying in her house at the same time in different rooms so it's a great way to make friends and meet different people from other countries. Seriously, I loved staying with Mercedes, and you will too!!!

Hello everybody, my name is Cecilia and I spent three months at Mercedes house in Valencia.
My stay has been simply amazing!.. The house is exactly as it is showed in the pictures or maybe even better! Rooms are very big and bathroom and kitchen are always very clean and tidy. The apartment is located in a very nice and safe area full of bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. But the aspect which made my stay so unique was the precence of Mercedes. She is a lovely person, always ready to help you. She is able to make you feel at home since the first day. It has been the most special stay of all of my life! I suggest everyone who feels like having a fantastic experience to stay at Mercedes, especially if you want to learn Spanish!.. she is a very talkative person and she will be more than happy to help you in the improvement of your Spanish. if you go to Valencia, stay at Mercedes!July 2013
I had a wonderful stay at Mercedes' house! I stayed there for three weeks and everything was perfect. She is a very good cook and was very conscientious about cooking food that I would like. She was very helpful about offering advice and giving directions. Her home is centrally located; it is very close to la Ciudad de las Ciencias y las Artes, a short bus ride to the center of town (I actually walked there a few times) and a 15 minute bus ride to the beach, which is a pleasant ride. There are several great restaurants right outside her door. Everything in Valencia is easy to get to and the people are very friendly. If I return to Valencia, I will stay with Mercedes.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
